This 3 days Kibale forest national park includes; a must have of a chimpanzee permit per person per day at $200, briefing about chimpanzee tracking regulations and staying with the Chimpanzee for at most 1 hour in their Natural home in Kibale forest National Park.
Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest national Park is carried out twice a day with first one at 8:00am in the morning, and the other at 2:00pm in the afternoon.
3 Days Kibale Forest National Park is a heart warming safari which takes you to Kibale Forest national Park- the primate capital in Western Uganda. The Park covers 795 square kilometers of the rain forest, rivers, swamps and some grassland. It being a home to 13 primate species, with more than 1500 chimpanzee which is the major highlight of the park.
Besides chimpanzees, you may also encounter grey cheeked managabey, olive Baboons, vervet monkeys, red tailed monkey in their natural homes.
Later on in the afternoon, you can head for an exciting wetland nature walk at Bigodi Swamp, where you will encounter various bird species, other primates like the white colobus monkeys, butterflies mammals among others.
However, Chimpanzee tracking is only meant for persons at the age of 15 and above, below which are not allowed to track, other wise young children can engage in educative forest walks

Detailed Itinerary For the 3 Days Kibale Forest National Park
Day 1: Transfer to Kibale National Park From Kampala:
On your days 1 of the 3 days Kibale Forest national Park safari, you will picked by our company driver guide, who will brief about your tour. Following your itinerary, you will be driven for about 5 hours, to Kibale national Park in Western Uganda via Mubende to Fort portal, as you enjoy spectacular views of terraced farmlands, beautiful landscapes, traditional homesteads, local people, tea and banana plantations, crater lakes viee and the Rwenzori Mountain ranges. You will also have a lunch enrote at Fort Portal-the tourism capital of Uganda. You will arrive in your lodge in the late afternoon, where you will check in, and then relax.

Day 2: Chimpanzees trekking in Kibale national park
On your day 2 of the 3 days Kibale Forest national Park safari, your driver guide will transfer you to Kanyanchu visitor center( park headquarters) for briefing right after your morning breakfast. You will will learn about the rules and regulations that must be adhered when looking for chimpanzees, when in their presence and after you leave them. After this, you will be divided in 8 individuals groups, and with an experienced ranger guide, you will be transferred to the starting point, where your exciting trek will begin.
You will trek for about 2-6 hours, depending on how far the chimpanzees may have moved from the position they were spotted the previous days, and upon encounter, you be required to spend at most 1 hour of being face to face with them. You will be able to watch them jump from one tree brunch to another above the forest floor, breast feed, feed, play and rest.
Return to the park head quarters for a chimpanzee tracking certificate, and head for lunch at your lodge.
In the afternoon, you will be driven to Bigodi village, for a nature walk in the swamp, where you have great opportunities to watch abundant bird species including the great blue turaco, papyrus gonolek, green breasted gonolek, butterflies, other primates like the black & white colobus monkeys, red tailed monkeys, L’Hoest monkeys, vervet monkeys, mammals like sitatungas, bush bucks, among other You can also head for a village walk onwards to the coffee plantations, banana bear making,, basket making and the traditional healer

Day 3: End of the Uganda chimpanzee trekking tour
On this 3rd day of the 3 days Kibale forest national Park. You will have a relaxed breakfast, checkout of your hotel. The driver will then drive back to Kampala or Entebbe international airport, with an en-route lunch stop lover at the Igongo cultural center. You will arrive in Kampala in the late afternoon where you will proceed to Entebbe international airport to catch up with your scheduled flight back home.
