Gorilla Trekking with Kids:  Family Gorilla trekking holidays With Kids.

Currently, families organizing Gorilla trekking safaris in Rwanda & Uganda, ask whether they can go gorilla trekking with their children/kids under 15 years of age or what the age limit for gorilla trekking.

Following the Gorilla trekking rules and regulation, Uganda’s Uganda Wildlife Authority and Rwanda’s Rwanda Development board minimum Gorilla trekking age limit is 15 years, below which are not allowed. Though the question still  stands, “Is it possible for children below  15 year  to do Gorilla trekking?”

The response is definitely Yes! Only in Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, whereby , children can easily traverse through the pristine forest with lush  vegetation cover, which protects  all trekkers from the scorching sun heat, making pleasant for children hence being more of a forested wilderness than mountainous landscape, despite being Steep.

While Rwanda gorilla trekking is limited  to at least 15 years and more, below which is prohibited, due to the hilly landscape which makes it starnous  for young kids/children to tackle,  right from the start.

Although Bwindi Impenetrable National Park allows for Kids/Children’s Gorilla trekking,  their parents are urged  by the park warden to sign an indemnity form, so that they will not be held captive against the child’s failure to accomplish the trek, although they will try so much to trace the renown assigned gorilla famiy, that is close enough, but no cases have been reported yet,  that families including the children under the age of 15 have not trekked gorillas.

Hiring porters who will carry  them through the trek, is an alternative, to let kids enjoy their gorilla trekking trip. This is the best way guaranteed Kids Gorilla trekking excursion.
