The 7 days (1 Week) Kenya safari starts from Amboseli national Park, located close to the foothills of the beautiful snow capped Mount Kilimanjaro at the background. The park is also famous for the large herd of roaming elephants.
The route then follows through the Great Rift Valley of Kenya to Lake Naivasha for a boat ride, which is graced by the pleasant sightings of Hippos, Grazing Gazelles, Impalas, Giraffes along the shores of the Lake. Detailed Itinerary For 7 Days Kenya Safari in 1 Week
Day 1: Drive to Amboseli National Park
Your 7 days Amboseli, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha & Masai Mara safari expert driver guide, will pick you up in a customized 4×4 safari Land cruiser jeep. You will then hit the wide Open road along the Nairobi-Mombasa Highway, through local field, passed the Masai herders with brightly colored shukas grazing their cattle.
You will arrive in perfect time for lunch at the Hotel, after which you will proceed for an afternoon game viewing animal. Animals to look out for include: elephants, buffalo, big cats and also monkey, baboon, and numerous birdlife like pelicans.
Return to the Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Full Day Amboseli Wildlife game viewing Drives
Take the morning game drive to enjoy early sightings of African elephants, buffaloes, impalas, lions, cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes, zebra, wildebeest, Thomson’s gazelle, Burchell’s zebra before they head to their hiding places.
Return to the lodge for your pre-breakfast, lunch and afternoon rest. At 3:30 pm, proceed for an afternoon game drive to find some wild animals, that are missing in your list, and return at dusk for dinner and overnight rest at the lodge, after enjoying incredible moments at the bonfire area of the lodge
NB: One can opt for a full day game drive in the park with an inclusive picnic lunch in the wilderness.
Day 3: Amboseli – Transfer to Lake Naivasha
Have breakfast, and conclude your time in Amboseli with the last game drive, as you depart, through the Great Rift valley to arrive Early at Lake Naivasha. Here, you will find a plethora of birdlife such as: ostriches, pelicans, herons, eagle among others. The fresh water lake Naivasha allows for a serene ride, passed many hippos, antelopes, Zebras, giraffes along the river banks, not forgetting the beautiful crescent Island , where you can enjoy pleasant sightings of buffaloes, antelopes, and many shorebirds on this pastoral and peaceful little haven.
Return for Dinner at Lake Naivasha Accommodation
Day 4: Hells Gate National Park To Lake Nakuru National Park
You will be up early for breakfast, then proceed for a bicycle riding adventure among grazers in Hells Gate National Park. You will be able to catch up with the wildlife grazing, as they proceed to their hideouts when the sun gets hotter.
While pedaling, keep your eyes on the grazing Zebras, giraffes, buffalo, warthogs, Rock hyrax among others.
After here, engage in a brief nature walk through the Hells Gate Gorge for 2 hours.
Hop aboard for lunch, and continue to Lake Nakuru National Park, to reach in time for an evening game drive enroute to the lodge, where you will have dinner and an overnight rest. Animals to look out for include: rhinos, leopards, and even pink flamingos.
Day 5: Full Day at Lake Nakuru National Park
Wake up early for breakfast, then head for the game drive. Lake Nakuru encompasses spectacular waterfalls, acacia forests, and towering cliffs, as well as bird species such like : the greater & lesser pink flamingoes, pelicans, cormorants, kingfishers, and ostriches along the shores of the Lake.
Besides birdlife, Lake Nakuru national Park is also a home to Black & White Rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes roaming through the acacia woods, Buffalos, Zebras, waterbucks among others
Later on you will proceed to the great Masai Mara National Reserve, for a 2 nights’ Exploration, of the rolling hills, golden savannahs, and dotted acacia trees.
Masai Mara is home for the Africa’s great Big 5 (Lions, Buffaloes, Rhinos, Elephants, Leopards), plus other common animals such as warthogs, Zebras, Impalas, gazelles, water bucks…

Day 6: Full Day at the Masai Mara
Rise up early for a full day game viewing drive, and keep your eyes looking for prides of lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas.
Picnic lunch will be served down the Mara River area, where you can enjoy staring at the hippos. During the right season for the great migration, chances are high that you might encounter this natural activity-especially between July to October.
Return later in the evening to Mara safari lodge or tented camp for dinner and an overnight.
Day 7: Masai Mara Exploration-Return to Nairobi
On this day, you can opt for morning balloon safari, to soar high above the wide Maasai Mara Plains. Head for mid-morning breakfast, then proceed to enjoy the life story of the Masai Culture. You will learn about how to make fire naturally, play local chess, learn their energetic cultural dance among others, which may take about 1 hour.
Thereafter, return to the 4×4 safari jeep and proceed to Nairobi, with lunch enroute.
You will arrive in the evening at your accommodation, or Airport for your flight back to your home country.
