Detailed 14 days Kenya Wildlife and Cultural Itinerary
Day 1: Welcome to Nairobi.
From the passport customs area, you will be welcomed by a representative from Aloyo safaris, who will drive you to your nearby hotel/Hotel in Nairobi, where you will settle for Lunch, dinner and a goodnight rest.
Day 2: Transfer to Aberdare national Park
Following your morning breakfast, set off with the driver guide in the morning to Aberdare National Park. Enroute, you will drive Northwards through the coffee plantations & small farms. You will also have lunch and then explore the Karatina Market, which sells varieties of fresh fruits and vegetables, while some are being bartered.
Upon arrival, you will check in at the hotel, where dinner will be served, then later enjoy your overnight sleep.
You can easily observe at the comfort of your terrace or window, a number of animals gathering by the water hole, which includes Elephants, Rhinos, dik-dik, bush buck, warthog, buffalos, waterbucks, rare kudu among others.
Day 3: Transfer to Lake Baringo
Have breakfast at the break of dawn, then proceed with the day 3 drive from Mount Kenya, with a stop enroute at the Equator for a brief demonstration of how water drains from a basin in a clockwise or anti clockwise rotation in the North or South direction.
Lunch will find you settled at the hotel, after then you will visit a local school around Lake Baringo, where you can just donate a few stationery, according to heart’s content, because no fees is required.
Return to the Lodge for dinner and an overnight rest.
Day 4: Visit to Ol Kokwe Island- Lake Baringo
Set off in the morning for a boat ride to the Ol Kokwe Island, in the Middlie of lake baringo –“Home For Njemps tribe”, whose lives are characterized by Fishing, from their indigenous reed boats.
Apart from their ancient culture, the “Njemps” are value their studies, and speak fluent English, thanks to the good schools built in the Island. You can explre deeper by meeting up with the elders to learn more about the history and their day to day life.
Return by boat to the shore where the driver guide will transfer you back to your accommodation for dinner and then an overnight.
Day 5: Journey to kericho
Start your morning transfer after breakfast. You will proceed to Kericho, driving by the Kabarnet and Eldama canyon.
Settle for Lunch at Tea Hotel upon arrival, then after embark on your visit to one of the tea plantations, where you will learn how tea is being processed, from the time it is harvested to when it is ready. You can also join them for the evening tea
Dinner and Overnight at the hotel.
Day 6: Drive to Kendu Bay Simbi
Depart after breakfast, to hit the rough roads to arrive early at Kendu bay, then head to Simbi Nyaima for magical lake legendary story, then proceed to Orian’g Market to see the beautiful pottery work by Orian’g Women group. Lunch Will be served early, after then you will continue to Kanjira & Kanam Hot springs.
You will be able learn from several groups of women & men who transport soda ash for sale to Kisii Town using their donkey, so that they can get income to earn a living. You can also enjoy the opportunity of boiling an egg in the hot springs for 5 minutes. Return to Homabay for dinner, then after an overnight.
Day 7: Transfer To Ruma National Park
Following your morning breakfast, take the drive through Lambwe Valley to arrive at Ruma National Park, home to the largest Roan Antelopes in Africa to enjoy a game drive, picnic lunch, then proceed for dinner and an overnight rest at Mbita point.
Day 8: Full Day Exploration at Mbita Point
After morning breakfast, head for a full day exploration, starting with Ligongo Hills where Dr. Mary Leakey discovered the early man’s skull-Procosul Africanus. Visit the Kenya National Museum in Nairobi to see this kind of Archeological finding.
It is also at this hill that one can view how water is being channeld throughout the island.
You can also proceed to visit the Tom Mboya Mausoleum, that was contructed to remember a greatest politician, whose death occurred in 1963, after being shot, led to massive demonstration, throughout the country. He was laid torest at his ancestral home Kamasngere village in Rusinga island.

Day 9: Mbita Point Full Day Charity visits

Day 11: Transfer to Maasai Mara From Kisumu
Have breakfast early in the morning and transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve, a protected area known for great Wildlife encounters including the great Wildebeest migration. Its Kenya’s Most visited destination in Kenya that all safari enthusiast ought not to miss, once they are in Africa.
The top notch wildlife reserve hosts Big 5 animals, Buffaloes, Leopards, Rhinos, Elephants, Lions.
You will find lunch upon arrival. Following your afternoon rest or leisure at the beach, embark on your evening game drive on the open plains of Maasai Mara national reserve.
Dinner will be served when you return, after which you will proceed for your night rest in the lodge.
Day 12 & 13: Full Day Game drive
Following your breakfast early , you will set off at 0630 hrs to Maasai Mara national Reserve, for a full day game drive, along with picnic lunch.
Apart from the Big 5, other animals include Grey Jackals, spotted hyenas, cheetahs, Bat Eared Fox, cheetah, Hippos Zebras, and more.
The annual Great Wildebeest Migration that occurs from July, August, September to Mid October , is undeniable the most treasured and sought after event in this park. This is when multitudes of Wildebeests, Zebras move towards the North to search for green pastures. Behind them are the predators like Lions, Cheetahs, Hyenas who follow them to attack each time they are hungry.
Besides the migration, there are also activities such as the Maasai Visits and also the Balloon Safaris (at an additional Cost), so that you can soar high to view animals.

Day 14: Return to Nairobi
