Detailed Itinerary of the 3 days | Akagera National park safari
Day 1 : Transfer to Akagera national Park
On the 1st day of the 3 days | Akagera National park Wildlife Safari, Aloyo Safaris experienced and professional driver guide from our company will pick you up from your hotel or the Airport. He will brief you about your 3 days Akagera National Park Wildlife safari, after which you will proceed for a city tour where you will visit the city markets, Kigali genocide museum, the former presidential palace, a few art shops and other landmarks. Enjoy Lunch in one of the restaurants in the city and head for 3 hours drive to Akagera National Park.
A long your journey, you have a stopover at Nyakarambi village to learn about the cow dung paintings by the Kakira women cooperative, whereby they showcase different style of decorating their houses using cow dung.
Upon arrival, You make all the necessary clearances at the gate, after then you will proceed to the lodge For dinner and an overnight Sleep.
On the other hand, you can transfer immediately to Akagera national Park after breakfast. You will then make all the necessary payments for you to be cleared at the gate and proceed to the lodge.
Have lunch and set off for a boat cruise at the Lake Ihema. The boat trip provides opportunities to spot crocodiles, hippos and other animals coming to the park for watering. Look out for the elusive Sitatunga (swamp antelope) and waterbucks.
Dinner and overnight at Akagera Game Lodge (Mid-range)
Day 2: Game drive in Akagera national park – Picnic Lunch – Night Game drive
Rise up early for breakfast, and the driver guide will pick you along with an experienced park Guide to tag along. The game drive on this wildlife tour will be in our customized safari 4×4 jeep with pop up roof that will allow you to have an ultimate wildlife view as your driver guide takes you through different tracks, while exploring the parks landscape including woodland forest, savanna plains, riverine forests and wetlands. Look out for hippos, Impala, warthogs, Topi, Zebras, spotted hyenas, giraffes, buffaloes, crocodiles, elephants and birds & recent Black Rhinos, which are still hard to find. The park Guide will play an important role in helping locate the lions, Rhinos and other elusive creatures.
You will enjoy your picnic lunch in the open Savannah plains to allow you experience an intimate feeling of dinning out in the wild.
