4 Days Gorilla Trekking & Dian Fossey Hike  is a 4 days Rwanda safari in volcanoes National Park for Gorilla trekking and Dian Fossey Hike. Volcanoes National Park is located in North western Rwanda, which forms a borderline with Uganda’s Mgahinga gorilla National Park, and Congo’s Virunga National Park. The park covers an area of 62 square miles, 5 out of 8 volcanoes of the vast Virunga Mountains such as Mount Muhabura, Karismbi, Bisoke, Sabinyo & Gahinga.

This 4 days Rwanda Gorilla & Golden Monkey tracking will a Rwanda gorilla permit at USD1500 and Golden Monkeys tracking permit at USD 75 including an intimate encounter with the gorilla guardians at the Iby’Iwachu Cultural Village.

This 4 Days Rwanda gorilla trekking & Dian Fossey Hike also allows you to take a volcano hike up to visit the remains of Dian Fossey’s grave.

Safari Itinerary for the 4 Days Rwanda Gorilla Trekking & Dian Fossey Hike

Day 1: Arrival in Kigali and Transfer to Volcanoes national park

You will be met by our company driver guide, who will pick you up from your hotel or from the airport. He will brief you about your 4 days Rwanda safari, and later drive you through the vibrant city of Kigali for a tour to visit the Kigali Genocide memorial Site, Crafts market in Kigali among others. You will have lunch in any restaurant in the city or lunch enroute as you drive to Musanze (Ruhengeri), arriving in the evening for dinner and an overnight sleep at your hotel as you wait for mountain gorilla trekking the next day.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes national park

On day 2 of the 3 days Volcanoes National Pak Rwanda safari For Gorilla trekking and Dian Fossey Hike, you will wake up early for breakfast. After here, the driver guide will drive you to the park headquarters of Volcanoes national park Rwanda for Briefing about the do’s and don’ts as well as the expectations of Mountain gorilla trekking. The ranger guide will share the  code of conduct of how you must behave during your trek, when you are with the gorillas, until when your finally depart. Gorilla trekking may lust for about 2 to 8 hours depending on the gorilla family, how far they may have moved from the previous position, or otherwise the physical strength of the group members.

Once you locate the gorilla, you are allowed to spend up to one hour with gorillas and ensure you maintain a distance of 7 meters away from the gorillas.

Return for your lunch at the lodge, and utilize the free afternoon relaxing at the lodge, till dinner time and later on sleep over.
