This 5-days Tanzania Camping Safari visits 4 of Northern Tanzania‘s well known National Parks Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Lake Manyara. Each park has its own scenery and wildlife.
This safari lets you witness the Big Five (lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, and rhino) plus other creatures including giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and hippos. You may also have an opportunity to encounter Serengeti’s amazing wildebeest migration.

Detailed Budget 5 Days Tanzania Camping Safari

Day #1: Tarangire National Park.

Begin your 5 days Tanzania camping safari with an early morning breakfast, followed by a full-day wildlife drive in Tarangire. Once at the main gate of Tarangire National Park, finish registration formalities, then proceed for a game viewing drive, which will take you both morning and evening with lunch in between before returning to the campsite for dinner and overnight.

Day #2: Serengeti National Park.

Have breakfast, then embark on a 7 hour drive to Serengeti national Park gate. Enroute,  you will have the opportunity of passing by Olduvai Gorge for a historical tour with lunch. There after, head for for afternoon game drive before returning to the campsite for hot shower, dinner & overnight at the Seronera Campsite.

Day #3: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater.

Take an early morning game drive after breakfast, then exit Serengeti for Ngorongoro Conservation Area,  with a stop at Olduvai Gorge, which has a history dating back of mankind, where Drs. Lois and Mary Leakey, anthropologists, found the skulls of ‘Nutcracker Man’ and ‘Handy Man’, both highly important links in the chain of human evolution. You will reach in Perfect time for dinner at Rhino Campsite, where you will have an overnight stay.

Day #4: Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, head for Ngorongoro Crater. Driving through the forested slopes of the Ngorongoro Crater Highlands before arriving at the crater’s rim. You will descend into the crater, which is one of the world’s most densely populated game regions, with approximately 40,000 animals…Here, you have a decent possibility of witnessing the big five: lion, leopard, rare Black Rhino, buffalo, and elephants…Along with the Big Five, we’ll witness herds of wildebeest, zebra, and Thomson’s gazelle…Following a picnic lunch,  continue your game drive, leaving the crater just before darkness to arrive early at the Campsite for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, proceed to Lake Manyara National Park with a packed lunch. This location is surrounded by Lake Manyara National Park, which is often neglected, but game-rich and well known for its tree-climbing lions. Enjoy a full-day game drive, followed by an evening drive back to Arusha.
