This 6 days Balloon Safari in Tanzania  starts from Arusha to Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park (For balloon adventure), Ngorongoro crater, Lake Manyara National park and ends in Arusha. Wild animals you expect to see & encounter include; giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, elephants, crocodiles, cheetahs, hippos, jackals, the bat eared fox, spotted hyenas, the black rhino, lions and buffaloes among others.

Detailed Itinerary for 6 days Balloon Adventure Safari in Tanzania

Day 1- Arusha Tour

On day 1 of the 6 days Tanzania Balloon Safaris, you explore Arusha.

You will be picked from your lodge by Aloyo Safaris representative in the morning, followed by a short briefing, then for the next 3 to 4 hours, he will take you to explore Arusha town, where you will visit Arusha markets, museums, the independence monument among other feature Arusha has to offer. You can also go for a 4km  walk (taken on foot), you will be taken back to your recommended accommodation facility so that you can prepare.

Day 2- Arusha to Tarangire National Park Safari

Following your breakfast early in the morning,  you will be transferred to Tarangire National Park, popularly known as a home to large population of elephants, plus other wildlife species that you will  encounter including buffalos, zebras, elephants, lions, wildebeests, giraffes, hippos and cheetahs just to mention a few..  You will have lunch enroute, while the dinner will be served at your reserved lodge, as well as an overnight.

Day 3-Tarangire to Serengeti Safari Tanzania

Have breakfast, and set off for Serengeti National Park. Serengeti is well known for the annual wildebeest migration, and if you are lucky, you will witness many animals crossing to Kenya on an almost 600 kilometers’ journey.

 

Serengeti national Park is a UNESCO heritage site and the best time game viewing is usually the dry season  between June to October yet for avid birders, try November to April, when the rainy season starts.

Some of the animals that you might encounter in Serengeti include giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, elephants, crocodiles, cheetahs, hippos, jackals, the bat eared fox, spotted hyenas, the black rhino, lions and buffalos. However, you can also get to witness the calving of over 1000 animals during the rainy season and a large number of bird species include the migratory birds that fly into the Park.

Other activities at the park include the hot air balloon ride, guided walks through the Park and exploring the baobab trees that are more than 1000 years old.

Day 4- Serengeti National Park Safari

Rise up early at 5:00am for a hot cup of coffee or tea, after which you will be transferred to the starting point of the Balloon Safari Tour. You will be briefed, then after take off with the balloon to have an Arial view of the  park and watch animals at an eagle’ eye angle. You will be able to spot  wild animals like Giraffes, Elephants, giraffes, Jackals, Warthogs, Hippos, crocodiles. Return to the lodge for lunch at the lodge, then in the afternoon you can leave for the game drive. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight rest.

Day 5- Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro crater

On this day, we spot game as we head southeast up into the stunning Ngorongoro Conservation. You will enjoy a afternoon crater tour followed by dinner and overnight stay at your booked lodge in Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Day 6- Lake Manyara National Park

Depart the lodge immediately after breakfast, then leave for Lake Manyara national park for a full afternoon game drive with enroute lunch.

Lake Manyara is a shallow, soda lake that is part of the Rift Valley wall; the lake is at the base of this dramatic western escarpment giving it a beautiful and beautiful setting. Besides, Lake Manyara’s main attractions are its rich bird life, tree climbing lions as well as its hippos, which can easily be spotted at a closer range than many other places. Lake Manyara also consists thousands of for which it is famous, and has vast vegetation ranging from savannah, to marshes and acacia woodland, enabling a variety of wildlife inhabitants including butterflies.

You will enjoy your lunch in the wild, after then you will proceed to Arusha to catch your flight back home.
