Detailed 7 Days Mount Meru Climbing Safari Tanzania
Day #1: Arrival in Arusha & Transfer to Momella Gate.
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and meet your trekking team. Transfer to Momella Gate in Arusha National Park (approximately 1-2 hours). Begin your ascent through the forest to Mariakamba Hut (approximately 4-5 hours of moderate hiking).
Day #2: Trek to Little Meru & Saddle Hut.
Hike from Mariakamba Hut to Little Meru (optional acclimatization hike) and then continue to Saddle Hut (approximately 3-4 hours of moderate hiking). Enjoy stunning views of the Meru Crater.
Day #3: Summit Attempt & Descent to Miriakamba Hut.
Begin your early morning (around midnight) summit attempt to Meru Peak (4,566m/14,980 ft). Enjoy breathtaking sunrise views before descending back to Saddle Hut for a rest and then continuing down to Miriakamba Hut (approximately 10-12 hours of challenging hiking).
Day #4: Descent to Momella Gate & Transfer to Arusha.

Day #5: Arusha Acclimatization and Cultural Exploration.
Today, if you’ve opted for a buffer day prior to your Mount Meru trek, you will have the opportunity to acclimatize further to the altitude in the pleasant surroundings of Arusha.
