A scenic transfer will take you to a campsite in or near Tarangire National Park. After settling in, you will embark on an afternoon game drive, exploring Tarangire, renowned for its large elephant herds, iconic baobab trees, and diverse birdlife, with opportunities to spot lions, giraffes, zebras, and various antelope species. Your overnight stay will be camping within Tarangire National Park at designated public campsites such as Ndolobo Public Campsite or private options at lodges like Tarangire Safari Lodge Campsite.
Day #2: Tarangire National Park – Full Day Game Drive.
Today is dedicated to a full day of game drives within Tarangire National Park, exploring different areas to maximize wildlife viewing. You will enjoy a picnic lunch amidst the park’s natural beauty. For those interested, a guided walking safari can be arranged for a closer look at the smaller flora and fauna. As the day concludes, you will return to the same campsite in Tarangire for dinner and overnight.
Day #3: Tarangire to Lake Manyara National Park.
After breakfast, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park. Upon arrival, you will enjoy a game drive in this park, known for its potential sightings of tree-climbing lions, large flocks of flamingos on the alkaline lake, and diverse landscapes. Your overnight camping will be near Lake Manyara at campsites such as Mto wa Mbu Campsite or Jambo Campsite.
Day #4: Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park.
Following an early breakfast, you will drive towards the Serengeti National Park, including a stop at the Ngorongoro Conservation Area viewpoint for stunning panoramic views. Upon arrival in the Serengeti, you will enjoy an afternoon game drive across its vast plains, searching for the “Big Five“. Your overnight camping will be in the Serengeti at public campsites like Seronera Public Campsite, Simba Public Campsite, or Ikoma Public Campsite.
Day #5: Serengeti National Park – Full Day Game Drive.
Today marks the first of two full days dedicated to exploring the vast plains of the Serengeti National Park. You will embark on extensive game drives, traversing different sectors of this iconic ecosystem in search of its abundant wildlife. Depending on the seasonal movements, your guide will aim to position you for potential sightings of the awe-inspiring Great Migration, as countless wildebeest and zebra traverse the landscape. Throughout the day, your search will focus on the Serengeti’s impressive array of predators, including majestic lions, elusive leopards, swift cheetahs, and cunning hyenas, alongside the numerous other fascinating plains game that call this area home. You will enjoy a picnic lunch amidst the wilderness, allowing for an uninterrupted immersion in the natural surroundings. As the day concludes, you will make your way to a designated public campsite within the Serengeti, such as Seronera Public Campsite, where you will spend the night under the African stars.
Day #6: Serengeti National Park – Full Day Game Drive.
Your second full day in the Serengeti offers further opportunities for unparalleled wildlife encounters. You will continue with extensive game drives, exploring different areas of the park to maximize your chances of spotting diverse species and witnessing unique animal behaviors. Your knowledgeable guide will utilize their expertise to track wildlife and provide insightful information about the Serengeti’s intricate ecosystem. For an unforgettable perspective of the plains stretching out before you, an optional hot air balloon safari can be arranged to take you soaring above the Serengeti at dawn (must be pre-booked and incurs an additional cost). As the day draws to a close, you will camp at a different public campsite within the Serengeti, such as Simba Public Campsite or Ikoma Public Campsite, further immersing you in the park’s varying landscapes and nocturnal sounds.
Day #7: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater & Departure.
After an early breakfast and a final game drive in the Serengeti, you will drive towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will descend into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater for a spectacular game drive. After lunch in the Crater, you will begin your drive back to Arusha and transfer to your hotel (at your own cost) or Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure.
