Detailed Itinerary For the Best 8 Day Kenya Safari
Day 1: Journey To Samburu
Have breakfast early and depart for Samburu National Reserve. Enroute, you will have game drive as you drive to the camp to check in and Lunch.
After the afternoon nap or relaxing, you will set off for the evening game drive to look out for animals including; grevy’s Zebra blue necked somali ostriches, Elephants, Gerenuk Antelopes, hippos, Lions, and sometimes the rare Leopards.
Return later for Dinner and an overnight
Day 2: Full day exploration @ Samburu National Reserve.
Embark on your game viewing drives in Samburu National Park National reserve’s Open grasslands and wide landscapes including springs, rivers, beautiful forests, springs & Rivers. The Reserve is also a home to more than 400 bird species. Following your breakfast early in the morning, you will proceed for both early morning and Late evening game drive.
Dinner & overnight at the same hotel.
Day 3: Drive to Sweetwaters/ Olpejeta
Have a healthy breakfast early in the morning, then depart for Olpejeta/sweetwaters conservancy. You will find lunch already organized, after then, you will go for game drive to look for animals such as Lions, Rhinos, Elephants, Leopards and Bufaloes.
Sweetwater Conservancy is famous for it diverse population of Black Rhinos, but also Kenya’s only Sanctuary where you can find Chimpanzees.
You will then make your way back to the Hotel for dinner and an overnight.
Day 4: Transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park
On this day, you will make your way to Lake Nakuru National Park from Olpejeta Conservancy, arriving at the camp, in time perfect for Lunch. Later in the evening, you will proceed for game viewing in an open jeep to spot animals like Waterbuck, Buffalo, Baboons, Lions, black & Whit Rhinos among others.
Lake Nakuru is also a home for more than 400 species of birds, including the greater and lesser pink Flamingoes
Return for dinner and an overnight rest.
Day 5: Drive to Masai Mara
In the morning, journey via the beautiful Rift Valley to Maasai Mara National Reserve where you will have lunch, and an afternoon rest before setting off for evening game drive.
Maasai mara hosts a number of wildlife like, Zebras, Wildebeests, Buffaloes, Giraffes, Leopards, Lions among others.
You will be required to stay until dusk, when the animals are most active.

Day 6 &7 : Full Day exploration in Maasai Mara
Following your breakfast early , you will set off at 0630 hrs to Maasai Mara national Reserve, for a full day game drive, along with picnic lunch.
Apart from the Big 5, other animals include Grey Jackals, spotted hyenas, cheetahs, Bat Eared Fox, cheetah, Hippos Zebras, and more.
The annual Great Wildebeest Migration that occurs from July, August, September to Mid October , is undeniable the most treasured and sought after event in this park. This is when multitudes of Wildebeests, Zebras move towards the North to search for green pastures. Behind them are the predators like Lions, Cheetahs, Hyenas who follow them to attack each time they are hungry.
Besides the migration, there are also activities such as the Masai Visits and also the Balloon Safaris (at an additional Cost), so that you can soar high to view animals.
