Detailed 8 days Luxury Tanzania Safari
Day 1 of the 8 days Tanzania Luxury Safari.
You will be met by an aloyo safari professional tour guide, who will brief you and later transfer to your reserved accommodation within Arusha, where you will have dinner and an overnight
Day 2 : Transfer to Tarangire National Park
Following your breakfast, you will be picked by the driver guide, who will transfer you to Tarangire national park on a tarmac road, driving through the gentle rolling Maasai plains with dotted acacia trees. You will enjoy the impressive views, passing by most of the Maasai in their colorful dresses walking along the roadside, riding bicycles, herding cattle or rather driving donkey’s carts.
Tarangire National Park, is most popular for its not forgetting the Tarangire river which is the centerpiece where multitudes of wildlife converge including lion stalking prey or leopards watching, relaxing in the trees above. Your day 2 of the 8 days Tanzania Luxury safari will come to an end with a heavy dinner and an overnight at your preferred luxury lodge
Day 3: Journey to Lake Manyara National Park from Tarangire national Park
On this day 3 of the 8 days Tanzania Luxury safari, you will wake for breakfast, followed by an epic morning game drive enroute to Lake Manyara National Park. The park is small but diverse with an area of 120km west of Arusha. The park is also named for the shallow salt lake which dominates 70% of the park’s surface area.
The alkaline lake is a haven to thousands of flamingos with more than 500 species of other birds. During the game drive, expect to spot monkeys, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, elephant, and sometimes lions lounging in the trees although they are rare to find. The park is famous for its wide, open grassy plains as well as primate-filled woodlands not forgetting the baobab dotted cliffs. After the experiential game drive, you will be driven back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight.
Day 4: Travel to Serengeti national Park
After your breakfast, you will be transferred via the cooler highlands towards the southern Serengeti, reaching the plains of the Serengeti National Park at mid-day. This wide park has numerous homes and landscapes, short grass plains, savannah, thick bush, swamps as well as lakes. Bizarre rock kopjes dot the grassy landscape where wild cats are usually spotted. The Serengeti is also well known for the annual migration where thousands of wildebeests and zebras trek to find fresh grass and water. You will spend the night at the Kati Kati Tented Camp inside of the park.
Day 5 Serengeti National Park
On this day 5 of the 7 days Tanzania Luxury Safari, you will have breakfast and head out for a full day game drive in the Serengeti National Park. During the game drive, you will spot many wildlife including impalas, buffalos, crocodiles, hippos, not forgetting the great migrating herds of zebras, antelopes, and wildebeests. The great migration of millions of wildebeest’s trek is determined by the rainfall and varies all year round. Between November and December, the animals trek from the northern region, surrounded by woodlands and hills, to the grassy plains of the south, whereas the longer rainy season from April to June, they return to the north. Besides the migrating herds, you may also have the chances to spot the resident predators like the leopards, cheetahs, and the lions, fulfilling their role in the circle of life.
You will have picnic lunch, and by the end of the evident day, you will return to your reserved lodge for dinner and an overnight
Day 6: Karatu Coffee Walk
Following your morning breakfast, you will head out for an outward journey to the park gate, you will spot more game , then after exit Serengeti National Park, for Ngorongoro Conservation area. You have a lunch enroute and reach Ngorongoro Conservation Area in the afternoon. Upon reaching the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, you will spot the giant caldera below, after which you will proceed to Karatu in the Ngorongoro highlands for a leisure walk in the coffee plantation to learn more about the cultivation and processing of coffee. You will spend the night at your reserved lodge.
Day 7: Karatu To Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, you will journey back to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area before you head down into the crater. The vast collapsed volcano hosts over 25,000 mammals consisting of the Big Five including lions, elephants, buffalos, rhinos and leopards to spotted hyenas, not forgetting the rare wild dogs and more than 500 bird species of the area. After an evident game drive and a lunch picnic, you will set off from the caldera in the afternoon and drive back to your preferred lodge for dinner and an overnight
Day 8: Depart for Arusha
Have breakfast at your own pace, and check out of the hotel. You will depart for Arusha where you will reach around midday for lunch. You will then be dropped off in the city center at your prefferd drop off location, or lodge or simply at the airport, where you will catch up with your flight back home.
