Detailed Itinerary for 8 Day Serengeti Balloon Safai

Day 1: Travel to Tarangire National Park

On days 1 of the 7 days Tanzania Hot Air Balloon Safari, expect to be met by a professional and experienced driver guide from Aloyo Safaris.  He will pick you up, brief you about your 7 days Tanzania Balloon safari,  then transfer you to Tarangire national Park on a 3 hours’ drive.  You will arrive at your booked lodge in time for lunch, after when you will proceed for your afternoon game drive see animals like herds of elephants, wildebeests, elands, zebras among others. Return to the lodge for, dinner, and overnight rest.

Day 2:  Tarangire -Transfer to lake Manyara

 

Following your breakfast on this day, you will be transferd to Lake Manyara National Park for a full day game drive. This is one amongst Tanzania’s smaller parks but offers breathtaking & extensive safari experience. As you enter the national park, thelush forests of Acacia as well as Mahogany trees set a sign of what is waiting for you in the park.  You will enjoy your picnic lunch, after then head out to look for animals including buffaloes, giraffes, impalas, baboons and the blue monkeys. Besides, Lake Manyara National park also has another spectacle of the  tree climbing lions, although spotting them is quite rare. During the right season, you might also spot millions of flamingos flocking around the shoreline. Post the game drive, you will return to your camp/lodge for a delicious dinner and an overnight rest

Day 3: Manayra-Drive to Serengeti National Park

Have your breakfast early, and head towards the Serengeti National Park, passing through the spectacular high lying farmlands of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. After the highlands, you will be driven down into the heart of  the Serengeti National Park – with its never ending  plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. You will proceed to the Seronera area- the wealthiest wildlife habitats in the park, which comprises the Seronera River, which  is the major water source  to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species.

During the months of December, January and February there are high chances of encountering the migration with large herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelle. There are always plenty of resident animals, such as giraffes, buffalos, and elephant, among large predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards. Return to the Lodge for dinner & overnight.

Day 4:  Serengeti Hot Air Balloon Safari(Full Day)

You will have to wake up at dawn for a cup of coffee at around 5:00am,  there after you will be transferred  to the starting point of Balloon safari, where you will be briefed about the regulations. You will then take off with the balloon  to view the park at an aerial view. You will be able see the predators catching their prey in their natural habitat . Other animals to be spotted include large herds of elephants, Zebras, Giraffes, Impalas, Topi, Lions, Leopards, Cheetahs, waterbuck, wild dogs, jackals, warthogs, hippos, Nile crocodiles, Gazelle among others. You will be return ed to the tourist center, where you meet up with your driver guide, who will drive you back to the lodge for lunch.

Later in the Afternoon,  you go for another game drive and later return to the lodge at sunset.

Day 5: Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Maasai Bombas Visit

Have your morning breakfast, after then you will meet your driver-guide to start the morning game drive in the Serengeti Golden plains to view more wildlife action. You will then return to your lodge, to refresh, relax, and have lunch. After lunch, you will be driven to the Masai Village to experience the unique culture and life of the Masai People who live within the Park.  Return to the lodge to  refresh, relax, have dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 6: Serengeti Game Drive and Transfer to Ngorongoro Crater

Wake up early for breakfast, along with your packed lunch, check out of your lodge, then later transfer to the Ngorongor crater with your driver guide.  You will set off at 6:00 am for an early search  of nocturnal animals and other wild animals. Have lunch and transfer to Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area  in 4 hours by road. You will arrive in the evening at the lodge  for dinner and an overnight.

Day 7: All Day Game Drive in Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area

Following your breakfast, you will packed lunch, then later on descend down to the crater to enjoy the most incredible moments of the park, you will have a chance to see many lions, wildebeests, spotted hyenas, zebras, elands, antelopes, hippos, ostrich, several bird species among others.

Enjoy your lunch, and later proceed for an afternoon game drive, after that you will head back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight rest.

Day 8: Travel to Arusha Town

After your early morning breakfast, check out, and meet the  driver-guide, who will   take you for brief game drive as you drive to Arusha Town or Arusha Airport to catch your flight back home.
