Detailed Itinerary For The 9 Day Western Lowland Gorilla trekking & Bai Safari
Day 1: Welcome to Brazzaville
You will arrive at Maya Maya International Airport in Brazzaville, where you find the guide waiting to transfer you to your for an overnight at your booked hotel. Relax, & unwind at the accommodation as you prepare for next day’s adventure.
Day 2: From Brazzaville – To Ngaga Camp
The driver guide will pick you up in the morning from your hotel for a transfer to the airport for your scheduled flight by a light aircraft from Brazzaville to Ngaga Camp to start your lowland gorilla trekking safari. Upon arrival, you will be assigned a gorilla family, then head for a forest walk to discover various species of Flora & Fauna. You will then meet the gorilla research team, with whom you will interact about the sureal iodeas about the gorillas, so that you can obtain more confidence and purpose to encounter with ypour assined gorilla family, the following day.
Enjoy a 3 course dinner , before heading for an overnight rest at the camp.
Day 3: First Gorilla Trekking and Forest Walk
At the break of dawn, start your day with delicious breakfast, before heading with the expert guide for your first Western lowland gorilla trekking in the dense jungles Odzala-Kokoua National Park in the lowland forest. Following the gorilla location, it may take at least 2 hrs to reach them, after which you settle for lunch, then proceed for an adventurous forest walk.
Dinner & Overnight at Ngaga Camp
Day 4: Gorilla Trek and Nocturnal Walk
You will be up early for breakfast, followed by your second Lowland gorilla trekking, as you will be led by an expert guide. Your afternoon will then be occupied by a forest walk, where visitors will take sight of beautiful birds & several primates. Dinner will be served, after which you will embark on a night walk to seek out nocturnal animals.
Day 5: Transfer from Ngaga Camp – Village Visit – Lango Camp
Breakfast will be heard at leisure , after which you will checkout for an route Mbomo village visit to interact with the Mbomo People about their daily life experience, before having lunch at Mboko Camp. Embark thereafter for your transfer to Lango Camp and bai via a kayak excursion across the Lekoli River. Lago camp is famous for drawing near large flocks of African green pigeon and African grey parrots, and at night, forest elephants.
Day 6: Lango Bai
After breakfast, explore the Lango camp region, and proceed on foot to the Bais to get in contact with various wildlife like forest elephants. Return to the camp, to catch up with the research team for an evening recap of the entire day’s activities.
Day 7: Lango Camp – Mboko Camp
Your morning activity starts with an en-route game drive, instantly after breakfast, then after, cross to Mboko cam by walk on a raised wooden path above the swamp. Engage in a Lekoli river cruise, or rather head for an adventurous stroll in the Likeni River.
Return for Dinner & overnight at the Camp.
Day 8: Mboko Camp
At Mboko camp the surrounding is occupied by pristine savanna, and visitors have the chance of spotting animals like forest buffaloes, forest elephants and spotted hyenas which often roam around.Yet there is also chance to interact with village people, at the edge of Odzala-Kokoua National Park.
Day 9: From Mboko – Brazzaville
Have breakfast at the camp, then join the drive to the airstrip for your arranged flight back to Brazzaville, where you will be connected to another flight back to your place.
