Detailed Itinerary For 9 Days  Kenya Safari

Day 1:  Transfer to Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Meet in the morning with an expert driver guide from Aloyo Safaris, with whome you will travel to East Africa’s Largest Rhino Sanctuary.

Arrive for check-in and Lunch at your booked lodge, thereafter proceed for an afternoon game drive to explore the conservancy, with an enroute stopover  at the Chimpanzee Sanctuary.

The Sanctuary, was established to protect and save orphaned Chimpanzees.
Besides Chimps, the sanctuary also houses about 40 animal species, but also a dedicated black Rhino Breeding region, which make it a place for remarkable memories.

Other activities at the Conservancy includes; Lion tracking, Night game drives, came rides, Tree planting, guided Bird walks and water color painting.

Return for dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Full Day Exploration

Rise Up very early in the morning, then proceed to enjoy game drive through the sanctuary.

There are a lot of animals  for you to encounter including the “Big 5” with a must visit to the Sweetwaters chimpanzee sanctuary to see a number of chimpanzees, Baboons, Waterbuck, Oryx, Eland, Jackals, .

You will have lunch in the wilderness, then dinner in the evening at the Lodge when you return.

Day 3: Transfer to Samburu national Park

Proceed by road to Samburu National game reserve, right after your early morning breakfast, arriving in time for lunch at the semi-arid and vast savannah plains of Samburu game reserve.

Continue for your first exciting game drive in the park, after lunch, and return later for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Full day in Samburu

Embark on a full day game viewing in the park after breakfast in the morning. Animals to look out include elephant, lion, rhino, leopard, buffalo, gerenuk, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, gravy zebra, Besia oryx, endangered wild dog as well as pun cake tortoise – endangered among others.

Besides wildlife, the park on the other hand hosts over 450 species of birds identified and aquatic species in the Waso Ngiro River including, vultures, kingfishers, marabous, bateleurs, guinea fowl, Somali ostriches etc. The whole day will be spent exploring the park for the whole day game drive.

Return in the evening for dinner and your overnight stay at your accommodation.

Day 5: Transfer to lake Nakuru National Park

Leave for Lake Nakuru National Park after a good morning breakfast. Enroute, you pass by the beautiful scenery of the Rift valley, and take a break at the Nyahururu Thomson Falls.  You will then continue further to the park, where you arrive in time for Lunch.

Head for the afternoon game drive after lunch. Expect to see Rothschild Giraffes, Balck and white Rhinos, zebras,  Occasional leopards,  and Warthogs, Reed bucks, while birds among others are African Sppon bill, Lesser and Greater Flamingoes, Long crested eagle, Yellow billed Stork.

Day 6: Drive to Maasai Mara

After breakfast, depart for the famous Maasai Mara national reserve with an enroute morning game drive as you exit the National Park. By Lunch time, you will be in the Lodge.

A short game drive will be conducted in the afternoon. Animals you will encounter are the; zebras, Lions, Jackals, Wildebeests, spotted Hyenas, Jackals, Buffaloes, gazelles, Lions, Impalas, Hartebeests, Elephants, Hippos etc, as well as more than 600 species of birds

Day 7 & 8. Full day  Maasai Mara

After breakfast, carry your packed lunch, and leave for the full day game drive around the park and at the Mara river.

Animals you expect to see frequently are the Zebras, Wildebeests, impalas, Grant’s gazelles, Elephants, buffaloes, Worthogs, Topis among other harbivores and the birds.

While predators include crocodile(at the Mara River), Cheetahs, Lions, Leopards.

In addition to game drives, chances are high that you might witness the “Great Migration” if you visit the Maasai mara national reserve during the Months between July and early November.

Dinner and overnight rest at the Lodge

Day 9 : drive to Nairobi

Have breakfast at leisure in the morning and depart Maasai Mara for Nairobi. You will arrive in the afternoon, where you will either proceed to the airport or dine and sleep in one of the hotels.
