Day By Day Itinerary For 4 Days Rwanda Gorilla Trekking & Karisimbi Hiking Safari
Day 1: of the 4 days Rwanda Gorilla trekking & Mount Karismbi Hike
When you arrive, you will be met by a safari driver guide from our company who will brief you about the 4 days Rwanda gorilla trekking & Mount Karisimbi hike, thereafter have lunch and be transferred to Volcanoes national Park. In about 2 hours; drive, you will journey northwards through the impressive terraced landscape of the magnificent Virunga ranges, whereby you can sometimes glimpse 5 peaks.
On reaching Ruhengeri/Musanze, you will check into your lodge for dinner and an overnight.
Day 2: of the 4 days Rwanda Gorilla trekking and Mount karisimbi hike
Very early in the morning you will wake up for breakfast then head to the briefing point at the Volcanoes National Park headquarters. You will go gorilla trekking , after the briefing by the park guide about the regulations of gorilla trekking, thereafter, be grouped in 8, then proceed to the jungle to look for the Mountain gorillas.
Tracking gorillas is an intimate experience, moving through the tropical forest of Volcanoes national park, although it may take a while between 2-8 hours. You will get to see the gorillas, where you will be allowed to stay with them for 1 hour, while maintaining a 7 hour distance, then return to the lodge at lunch time.
At times, when you still have enough time, you can visit the Iby’Iwachu Cultural Village, where you might have the chance to participate in their cultural activities for example; cultural dance, taste the Kinyarwanda food, go hunting among others.

Day 3: of the 4 days Rwanda Gorilla trekking & Mount Karismbi hike
Wake Up early for breakfast, then head to the briefing point at the Volcanoes national Park headquarters. Along with your packed snacks, lunch plus enough water, camping and hiking gear, you will meet up with your park guide, at the point where your Mount Karismbi Kick starts. You will be urged to hire a porter, to carry your belongings, and give you a hand whenever you are stuck in the middle of your trek.
Along your Mount Karismbi hike, you will walk through different vegetation zones like the bamboo forest , haginia Hypericum, forest,and the Giant lobelia, where you will glimpse some animals & various bird species. After here, you will hike midway up to 3700m meters, where you will stop in the midlle for dinner and an overnight.
Day 4: of the 4 days Rwanda Gorilla trekking & Mount Karisimbi hike
On the Last day of the, you will hike up the summit of Mount Karisimbi, after your morning breakfast, then reach the peak, where you will capture spectacular & scenic views of Mount Nyiragongo, Muhabura, and Nyamulagira of Congo. From here, you will descend back down to the base, where you will meet up with your guide who will transfer you to the Lodge for lunch, after which you will proceed to the Airport
