Detailed 10 Days Tanzania Wildlife (Big 5) Safari
Day 1: Welcome to Tanzania-Kilimanjaro International Airport
On day 1 of the 10 days Northern circuit Tanzania safari, you will be warmly welcomed by an expert safari guide from Aloyo Safaris, ready to brief you about your 11 days Northern circuit trip highlights, and later on transfer you to your reserved hotel Moshi. While in the hotel, you will be rewarded by the spectacular view of the Kilimanjaro Mountain from a distance.
Day 2 – Arusha National Park
Very early in the morning after breakfast, you will be transferred to Arusha National Park for a full day game drive including some hiking activities in the park. You have lunch in the park, then later on return to your Arusha lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at the campsite.
Day 3: Tarangire National Park
Have breakfast very early in the morning, and depart for Tarangire National Park for a game drive with a picnic lunch en-route. The park is famed for its lions, large herds of Elephants, flamingos, Giraffes and among many mammals. In the evening, drive to your reserved lodge for dinner and an overnight rest.
Day 4: To Serengeti National Park
Following your morning breakfast, along with your packed lunch, depart for your enroute game drive through Tarangire National Park, to Serengeti National Park. The stretch of the road towards the park’s gates offers an incredible opportunity to spot animals in their natural home, especially during migration including wildebeests, zebras, impalas and lions. You will enjoy your evening game drive, after which you will drive to the lodge for dinner and an overnight.
Day 5: Full game drive in Serengeti National Park
Rise up in the morning, enjoy your tasty breakfast, and depart for your full day game drive, including a lunch picnic in the Bush. Due to the abundance of animals the park has to offer, expect to spot among other animals; giraffes, zebras, impalas, monkeys and hippos. In the evening we drive back to your lodge/campsite for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Balloon Safaris & Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
For all hot air Balloon safaris enthusiasts, you we will be picked from your lodge at 5:00am for 6:00am departure. After your 90 minutes aerial exploration, you head for bush breakfast and champagne toast, thereafter you will continue with a short game drive back to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, depart for Ngorongoro crater from Arusha National Park. You will arrive in the evening for at your booked lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Full game drive in Ngorongoro crater conservation area
On this day 7 of the 11 days Tanzania Northern circuit, you will have breakfast and later on drive descending to Ngorongoro crater, popularly known as the natural wonder of world. You will have a picnic lunch and later in the evening ascend from crater and drive to your lodge for dinner and overnight rest.
During the game drive, expect to spot Lions, Water bucks, Hippo Baboons, Black Rhino, leopard, Hyena, Jackal, Buffalo, Warthog, Gazelle and many more are shelter here.
Day 8: Travel to Lake Manyara National park/Moshi
On this 8th day, your safari commences in the morning instantly after breakfast. With your enroute lunch, you will be driven westwards to Lake Manyara with an enroute Ngorongoro game drive where you will explore the stunning landscape of the park, searching for wildlife on the plains, in the acacia woodlands and by the shores of the shallow alkaline lake. Lake Manyara is popularly known for its for its tree-climbing lions, besides you can also look out for spotted elephants, hippos, wildebeest, buffalo and giraffes, among other species. Lake manayra national Park is also filled with Pink-hued flamingos which provide a splash of colour. The flamingoes are 1 out of more than 400 bird species recorded in the park.
Enjoy lunch, after then pay a visit to the Mto Wa mbu culture in the Northern Tanzania. This village is remarkable home to approximately 1800 inhabitants, who emerged from 120 different tribes. You experience and learn more about lives, visiting their farms, huts, artisan shops and the local market, as well as their hospitality as well as sharing extensively about their culture. After all activities return to the hotel to relax, dinner and an overnight rest.
Day 9: Kikuletwa hot springs
On day 9, you will be taken on a 2 hours’ drive to Kikuletwa hot springs, instantly after your early morning breakfast. You will pass via the green farms and baobab trees. On arrival, you will visit Maasai boma for traditional dance performances and local lunch. From here, you proceed to the hot springs, followed by lunch, then proceed for unlimited swimming before getting back to the lodge in Moshi for a delicious dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 10: Depart Moshi for Kilimanjaro International Airport
Following your morning breakfast, transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport to catch up with your flight, otherwise you can extend your trip to Zanzibar.
