Tsavo west national park, situated in the Coast Province of Kenya. The park is home to the sought after Big 5 animals, although other small animals such as Zebras. Gazelle, Gerenuk, Hartebeest, cheetahs, waterbuck, crocodiles , Oryx, Baboons and Hippos.

The next National Park to visit on this 9 days Kenya road safari is Aberdare National Park in Kenya’s Central Highlands. The park is also a home to Big 5 animals plus other animals like Monkeys, Golden cats, Bongo Antelops, Leopards, and Giants forest hog among others.

From  here, you will then continue to Samburu national reserve, nestled near the Ewaso Ngiro river, from where most animals drink from it, since it’s the major sauce of water as well as Kenya’s Biggest Norther River. Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: drive to Tsavo West national park

Upon pick up by Aloyo Safaris professional driver guide, You will be transferred to Tsavo west National park where you will reach in the afternoon at the hotel for lunch. The extensive savannah National Park has a number of; habitats of semi-desert scrub, woodland, chyulu hills and rock outcrops.

At Tsavo West National Park, you will spot among others Red Elephants, gerenuk, Oryx plus more birds.

You can also visit the Chyulu Hills and Mzima springs for Hippos while Lunch may be in the hotel or enroute depending on the clients choice

Day 2: Full Day in Tsavo West National park

On day 2, You will choose between  Waking up in the morning and heading for a full day game drive with picnic lunch or You will go for morning and Afternoon game drive with lunch at the hotel/lodge.

Whatever decision you make, you  will spot wild animals such as Cheetahs, Wild Dogs, Rhinos, Red Elephants, zebras, Giraffes, Mongose, Hyrax, dik-dik, Buffaloes, Liuons, Croccodiles, Lesser Kudu, Leopards, nocturnal pocupines  among others as well as over 600 bird species.

You can also visit the Ngulia’s Rhinoceros Sanctuary to view Black Rhino.

Day 3: drive to Aberdare National Park

Have breakfast and proceed to Aberdare national Park with enroute lunch in one of the restaurants in Nairobi.

Animals to encounter spot include Giant Fiorest hog,  Bush Pig, Large Spotted genet, Tree hyrax as well as large animals like; the elephants, Leopards and large male lions.

Day 4:

By road, you will depart Aberdare National Park after Morning breakfast for Samburu game reserve, arriving in time for Lunch. Samburu national park, though small with size of 162km2, is well known for a beautiful scenery , wild animals and flocks of bird species all around.

The park hosts; Antelopes, Cheetahs, Lions, Giraffes, Somakli Ostriches, generuk, zebras among others

Day 5: Whole day Samburu game reserve exploration

After breakfast, set off for afull day Morning and afternoon game drive to see animals like Antelopes, Gerenuk, Grevy’s Zebra, Somali Ostrich,  crocodiles and about 400 bird species.

In The evening, you exploret the Samburu Village at $20 per person

Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 6: transfer to lake Nakuru

Leave for Lake Nakuru National park after a good morning breakfast. Enroute you pass by the beautiful scenery of the Rift valley, and take a break at the Nyahururu Thomson Falls.  You will then continue further to the park, where you arrive in time for Lunch.

Head for the afternoon game drive after lunch. Expect to see Rothschild Giraffes, Balck and white Rhinos, zebras,  Occasional leopards,  and Warthogs, Reed bucks, while birds among others are African Sppon bill, Lesser and Greater Flamingoes, Long crested eagle, Yellow billed Stork.

Day 7: Drive to Maasai Mara

After breakfast, depart for the famous Maasai Mara national reserve with an enroute morning game drive as you exit the National Park. By Lunch time, you will be in the Lodge.

A short game drive will be conducted in the afternoon. Animals you will encounter are the; zebras, Lions, Jackals, Wildebeests, spotted Hyenas, Jackals, Buffaloes, gazelles, Lions, Impalas, Hartebeests, Elephants, Hippos etc, as well as more than 600 species of birds

Day 8. Full day  Maasai Mara

After breakfast, carry your packed lunch, and leave for the full day game drive around the park and at the Mara river.

Animals you expect to see frequently are the Zebras, Wildebeests, impalas, Grant’s gazelles, Elephants, buffaloes, Worthogs, Topis among other harbivores and the birds.

While predators include crocodile(at the Mara River), Cheetahs, Lions, Leopards.

In addition to game drives, chances are high that you might witness the “Great Migration” if you visit the Maasai mara national reserve during the Months between  July and early November.

Day 9 : drive to Nairobi

Have breakfast at leisure in the morning and depart Maasai Mara for Nairobi. You will arrive in the afternoon, where you will either proceed to the airport or dine and sleep in one of the hotels.
