Detailed Itinerary for 8 Days Kenya Luxury safari

Start your day with breakfast, then you will be transferred to Samburu National reserve located in the Northern Part of Kenya. Enroute, you will be driven via the shoulder of Mount Kenya, reaching in time of lunch at the lodge.

In the afternoon, you will set off for the game drive to spot some of the wildlife adventure in the small park which spans an a total area of 165km2 . The park offers an authentic game viewing  of both wildlife and animals.

Animals to look out include gerenuk, zebras, elephants, Somali ostriches, Antelopes, cheetahs, Giraffes, Oryx, Lions, cheetahs among others.

Dinner and overnight rest at the lodge.

Day 2:  Full day Samuru Game Reserve

You will depart early in the morning, after breakfast for game viewing on the open plains of the savannah park. The park  is tremendously beautiful with springs, rivers and forests.

This park shelters animals like Elephants, Lions, Giraffs, Generuks, Leopards Hippos, Crocodiles, Giraffes, Somali Ostriches,  and Oryx, as well as about 400 species of Birds which includes many weaver birds and eagles.

Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight.

Day 3: drive to northern Laikipia

On day 3, after the morning breakfast,  depart Samburu Game reserve for Northern Laikipia, arriving in time for lunch at the hotel.

After lunch you can choose between  relaxing in the lodge, or swimming by the River or an afternoon game drive.

Wild game in this region include Hreater Kudu  Wild Dodgs, Elephants, lions, Buffalos and the many birds you will encounter during the game drive.

You can also spend the evening, by going on a sundowner short walk around the camp as you watch the sun set behind the Laikipia Hills.

Day 4: Nature walk or camel ride

Wake up early for breakfast, then proceed for a morning walk with the camels, otherwise, you can also ride a camel  while you enjoy the breathtaking views of the Laikipia plains.

Under the guidance of Laikipia Maasai Warriors, the walk takes you across the hills to see the Ewaso River it meanders and squeezes its path across the highland plains.

Lunch will be picnic under 1 of the thorny trees along the river banks.  You may again opt to spend the afternoon, swimming in River.

Other activities at Laikipia(especially Sabuk include Guided walks, hilltop sundowners. Cultural visits, Line Fishing, river swimming, tubing the Rapids.

Day 5: Transfer to Lake Naivasha

Leave Laikipia driving down  to the rift valley floor, then proceed to lake Naivasha, reaching in time for Lunch at the Lodge.

In the afternoon, head for afternoon walk or game drives at the Oserengoni Wildlife sanctuary, which hosts beautiful views across lake Naivasha and Longonot.

You may also opt for horse riding at the ranch as you look out for animals such as Zebra, giraffes, elephants among others

Dinner and overnight rest at the Lodge.

Day 6: Drive to Maasai Mara

After breakfast, depart from the Lodge, then head southwards to Maasai Mara National  Reserve For Check-in and Lunch at the Lodge.

After lunch,  head for an evening game drive to discover more that the open Maasai Mara has to offer. Otherwise, you may also hike the N’dorobo cave to sight birds, view the sun as it sets down, and even dine under the stars, or even soar high above the plains in a hot air Balloon or maybe an incredible horseback safari (i.e when you decide to sleep at Hemingsways Ole Seki camp).

Dinner & Overnight rest in the lodge.

Day 7: Full Day Masai Mara

Embark on a full day game drive instantly after your early Morning breakfast. You will be driven along the vast plains as well as along the Mara River region.

Animals you expect to see frequently are the Zebras, Wildebeests, impalas, Grant’s gazelles, Elephants, buffaloes, Worthogs, Topis among other harbivores and the birds.

While predators include crocodile(at the Mara River), Cheetahs, Lions, Leopards.

In addition to game drives, chances are high that you might witness the “Great Migration” if you visit the Maasai mara national reserve during the Months between  July and early November.

Day 8: drive to Nairobi

Have breakfast at leisure in the morning and depart Maasai Mara for Nairobi. You will arrive in the afternoon, where you will either proceed to the airport or dine and sleep in one of the hotels.
