8 Days Wildlife Kenya Safaris

Day 1: Nairobi – Amboseli

Our driver guide will pick you up from your hotel  in a customized 4×4 land cruiser. With him, you will proceed to Amboseli National Park, arriving at an ideal time for lunch.

Enroute, you will follow the Nairobi Mombasa highway,  through the wide farms as well as the Maasai people herding their cattle.

 

Hop aboard and we’ll proceed down the Nairobi-Mombasa Highway past open fields of small farms and perhaps Masai tribespeople herding their cattle, alongside the breathtaking spectacle of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Later in the evening, head for  the evening, where you are  certain of  spotting vast population of larger elephants, but also look out for other game such as Zebras,  warthogs, Gazelles, Lions, Buffaloes and Leopards.

Time for dinner will find you in the Lodge, followed by an overnight rest.

Day 2: Full Day game drive

The full day of exploring Amboseli National Park  will start with a pre breakfast game drive to meet up the cats  from hunting, then after return to the lodge for breakfast.

Apart from the famous Large elephant population for which the  park is known, Amboseli features  several numbers of wildlife and bird species.

Return in the late afternoon for another evening game drive, before having dinner. Take an overnight rest in the Lodge after enjoying incredible moments at the bonfire area of the lodge

NB: One can opt for a full day game drive in the park with an inclusive picnic lunch in the wilderness.

Day 3: Amboseli – Transfer to Lake Naivasha

Have breakfast, and conclude your time in Amboseli with the last game drive, as you depart, for Lake Naivasha in the great rift valley. Here, you will find various birdlife including: ostriches, pelicans, herons, eagle…

You can also go for a tranquil sail across the lake, where you will spot hippos, antelopes, Zebras, giraffes alone the river banks, not forgetting the beautiful crescent island to glimpse  buffaloes, antelopes, and many shorebirds on this pastoral and peaceful little haven.

Return for Dinner at Lake Naivasha Accommodation

Day 4: Hells Gate National Park To Lake Nakuru National Park

Wake up for  cycling adventure early in the morning instantly after breakfast. You will be able to catch up with the  wildlife grazing, before they head to their hiding places when the sun becomes hot.

While pedaling, keep your eyes on the grazing Zebras, giraffes, buffalo,  warthogs, Rock hyrax…

After here, engage in a brief nature walk through the Hells Gate gorge for 2 hours.

Hope aboard for lunch, and proceed to  Lake Nakuru National Park, to reach in time for an evening game drive enroute to the lodge, where you will have dinner and an overnight rest. Animals to look out for include: rhinos, leopards, and even pink flamingos.

Day 5: Full Day at Lake Nakuru National Park

Wake up early for breakfast, then head for the game drive.

Lake Nakuru which features spectacular waterfalls, acacia forests, and towering cliffs,  hosts bird species such as : the greater & lesser pink flamingoes, pelicans, cormorants, kingfishers, and ostriches along the shores of the Lake.

Lake Nakuru, a part from birds, is a home to  Black & White Rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes wandering through the acacia woods and black and white rhinos.

Later on you will proceed to the great Maasai Mara National Reserve, for a 3 nights’ Exploration, of the rolling hills, golden savannahs, and dotted acacia trees.

Maasai Mara is home for the Africa’s great Big 5 (Lions, Buffaloes, Rhinos, Elephants, Leopards), plus other common animals such as warthogs, Zebras, Impalas, gazelles, waterbucks…

Day 6: Full Day at the Masai Mara

Rise up early for a full game drive, and keep your eyes looking for prides of lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas.

Picnic lunch will be served down the Mara River area, where you can enjoy  starting at the hippos. During the right season for the great migration, chances are high that you might encounter this natural activity-especially between July to October.

Return later in the evening to Mara safari lodge or tented camp for dinner and an overnight.

Day 7: Maasai Mara Exploration

On this day, you can opt for morning balloon safari, to soar high above the wide Maasai Mara Plains. Head for mid-morning breakfast, then proceed to enjoy the life story of the Maasai Culture. You will learn about how to make fire naturally, play local chess, learn their energetic cultural dance among others.

Dinner will be served upon your return in the lodge.

Day 8: Depart for Nairobi

You will have a relaxed breakfast, then wrap your adventure with a short game drive as you exit Maasai Mara.

Leave Maasai Mara behind, for Nairobi, so as to reach in time perfect for your flight, with enroute lunch.
