Day by Day Itinerary for 7 Days Samburu
Day 1: Nairobi – Samburu game reserve
Pick up will be early from your hotel or airport, for a departure to Samburu National reserve to arrive early for lunch Samburu Sopa Lodge. Embark on an afternoon game drive to look for resident wildlife including the; rare Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy’s Zebra, Beisa Oryx and the Blue-necked Somali Ostrich that are only found in this park and no where else within Kenya.
Return for dinner and an overnight at Samburu Sopa Lodge.
Day 2: Full Day at Samburu Game Reserve
Wake up early in the morning for breakfast, then proceed for a full day game drive with an inclusive picnic lunch. Samburu National Reserve features beautiful landscape sceneries, coupled with spectacular Rivers and breathtaking forests, noth forgetting the colorful heritage of the local Samburu communities with hospitable people.
Other animals you will spot include: leopard, hippo, elephant, lion, reticulated giraffe, grevy’s zebra and crocodile in the Ewaso Nyiro River. The reserve is also home to more than 365 bird species that have been recorded.
Day 3: Samburu – Lake Nakuru National park
Breakfast will be served early enough, then followed by departure to Lake Nakuru National Park. Lunch will be served upon checking in into Lake Nakuru Lodge or Flamingo hill Tented lodge, then after proceed for an afternoon game drive, where you have enough chances glimpse leopards, rhinos, waterbucks, zebras, impallas, Gazelles and the famous pink flamingos…

Day 4: Lake Nakuru – Transfer to Maasai Mara National Reserve
Following your breakfast early in the morning, leave Lake Nakuru National Park, with an enroute game drive to Maasai Mara National Reserve.
You will reach in time for lunch, then later embark on an afternoon game drive till dusk.
Dinner and overnight at Mara Leisure Tented camp or Elangata olerai Tented lodge
Day 5 /6: Maasai Mara
Spend day 5 and 6 exploring Maasa Mara National Reserve. You will choose from either morning & evening game drives with lunch in the hotel or otherwise, take a full day game drive with picnic lunch in the vast plains of the Park.
Chances are that you might spot the whole Big Five with their associated predators such as: Buffaloes, Rhinos, Hippopotamus, Oribi, Warthogs, Thompson’s Gazelles, Zebra, Hartebeest among many others. Dinner and overnight at Mara Leisure Tented camp or Elangata olerai Tented lodge
Maasai mara National reserve hosts has numerous wildlife of various kinds with over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. Expect to see more lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes and elephant.
Sometimes during the lucky months between July & October, you might witness the most spectacular event of the natural world -the all year round migration of millions of wildebeest and zebras migrating from the Serengeti (Tanzania) to Maasai Mara as they search for water and pasture. Behind them are the footsteps of predators of the savanna- lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena and vultures.
Day 7: Maasai Mara -Nairobi
Wake up for a leisurely sumptuous breakfast, then depart for Nairobi, to be dropped at the Airport or your booked accommodation.
