Day By Day Itinerary for 7 Days Sipi Falls, Kidepo & Murchison Falls Wildlife Safari
Day 1: Transfer to Sipi Falls via Source of the Nile
Be ready to be pick up from the Hotel/Airport very early in the morning by our safari driver guide in 4×4 Land cruiser with a pop up roof. You will be transferred to Sipi Falls in Mount Elgon in Kapchorwa. Enroute, you will stop at the Nile for sightseeing Taking Photos , & Lunch, arriving at the lodge for check in and Lunch.
Head for 1 3-4 hours hike, to conquer the 3 distinctive Sipi Falls or different heights of 75, 85m, 100m.
Return to the lodge for Dinner and an overnight at the Lodge.
Day 2: Transfer to Kidepo Valley NationL Park
At the break of dawn, you will be up for breakfast, then set off for Kidepo Valley National Park in a bout 6-7 hours. You will enjoy the fascinating drive, passing through the beautiful views of Mt. Elgon rolling landscape and coffee farms, as well as Pian Upe game reserve, the Karamajong cattle corridor , the manyatas, and Mount Moroto.
Dinner and overnight at Kidepo Valley.
Day 3: Full Day Kidepo Valley National Park
The entire day 3m lets you enjoy game viewing drives, as you keep your eyes on various wild animals in Kidepo Valley National Park. The popular game viewing drives you in the wide immense savannah includes elephants, buffalos, lions, zebras, and giraffe. One can also visit the Ik people of northeastern Uganda, if time allows, to learn about their culture and today’s way of life.
Day 4:Transfer to Murchison Falls
Following your breakfast, You will depart Westwards from Kidepo Valley to Murchison Falls National Park. Enroute to Murchison Falls, you will be driven through Kotido, Kitgum and lunch in Gulu Town. Arrival at Murchison Falls will be in the early evening. Dinner and overnight rest at the lodge.
Day 5: Game drives, Nile River Boat cruise & Top Of the Falls
Start your day with breakfast, and embark on an exciting game viewing drive to sight elephants, lions, giraffe, among other wildlife.
Lunch will be at the lodge, after then you will proceed for a refreshing boat trip on the impressive Nile River where, chances are that you might see crocodiles, hippos, and several rare birds.
You also glimpse the point where the Nile River joins Lake Albert, which is one of the premier highlights of this safari. Experience the exhilarating power and force of the falls as the spray falls on your face and you will listen to the thunderous roar of the water.
At the end of the boat cruise, you will trek to the renown ‘Top of the Falls’ where you will have breathtaking views of the Murchison Falls along the Nile River, a perfect photography schedule for the avid birders. Return for Dinner & overnight Safari.
Day 6:Chimpanzee tracking at Budongo Forest
Like Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest national Park, you will rise up early for briefing in Budongo forest. Then by the help of the guide, you will trek through the forest to look for chimpanzees. Upon finding them, you will allowed to interact with them up close for at most 1 hour. During your trek, You might encounter creatures like the colobus monkeys, olive baboons, and red-tailed monkey. Return to the lodge after trekking for relaxation and dinner.
Day 7: Rhino Tracking
Following your breakfast early in the morning, Depart Murchison Falls National Park behind for Rhino tracking at Ziwa Rhino Tracking, that might take about hours 2-3 hours, including briefing, trekking and 60 minutes of interacting up close with Rhinos.
After Rhinos had become scarce in Uganda in 1980s , Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary became the breeding spot for both the black and white rhinos.
You will then take take the last drive back to Kampala to be dropped at your point of choice ; either hotel or Airport
