Overview of The 5 Days Masai Mara & Amboseli
Masai Mara National Reserve hosts an abundance of wildlife with almost African animals in its ecosystem. The Reserve is famous for the Annual Great Wildebeest migration, when about more than 2 million wildebeests together with thousands of Zebras plus Antelope groups cross from Serengeti to Masai Mara National Reserve, through Mara River, between July to October Months. Day By Day Safari Itinerary For 5 days Maasai Mara & Amboseli Safari
Day 1: Tour Drive to Amboseli National Park
From the airport or your hotel/lodge of residence, your 4 days Masai Mara safari guide will pick you with a 4×4 safari Vehicle (Land cruiser) with a pop up roof. Thereafter, take a tour drive for about 5-6 hours to Masai Mara national reserve, with enroute break stop at the Rift Valley view point to admire the breathtaking landscape, and at Narok town. Proceed to your hotel/camp for check-in, then lunch will be provided and relax for a while. At 15hr30, head for an after game drive, and return to the lodge for dinner and a night rest at the lodge.
Day 2: Experience full day Masai Mara Wildlife activities
On day 2, you can either opt for Full day Masai Mara experience with packed picnic lunch in the wilderness, or have a morning & evening game drive with lunch at the Hotel.
Have breakfast early morning at the lodge, then take drive to wide Masai Mara National reserve plains for game viewing drives to look out for the Big Five (Lions, Elephants, Rhinos, Buffaloes, Leopard ). Other common animals flooding the fields include Zebras, Water bucks Impalas, Gazelles, giraffes, and other bird species notable to the reserve like, African Darter, African Grey Hornbill, African Fish Eagle, African Spoonbill, Bateleur, Black Chested Snake Eagle …

Day 3: Journey To Amboseli National park
Be up early for breakfast, then depart for Amboseli National Park, which is crowned by the iconic view of Mount Kilimanjaro Peak, as well as the Large Elephant herds, wandering around the Park. Enroute, you will have break stops to appreciate the beautiful landscape of Kenya, and Lunch in Nairobi. You will arrive at your Amboseli national Park Lodge for check-in, then later on proceed for an evening game drive.
Return at dusk for dinner and an overnight rest.
Day 4: Explore Amboseli National Park
Take the morning game drive to enjoy early sightings of African elephants, buffaloes, impalas, lions, cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes, zebra, wildebeest, Thomson’s gazelle, Burchell’s zebra before they head to their hiding places.
Return to the lodge for your pre-breakfast, lunch and afternoon rest. At 3:30 pm, proceed for an afternoon game drive to find some wild animals, that are missing in your list, and return at dusk for dinner and overnight rest at the lodge.
Day 5: Depart For Nairobi for Amboseli national Park
Be up for the Morning game drive, return for pre-morning breakfast, then proceed to the Maasai village to have a one hour of cultural experience with the Masai (only if you have time). A guided Maasai cultural experience allows you to experience the daily activities of the Masai including: Visiting the Maasai Market, lighting fire naturally using dung and wood, learning their traditional dance plus their jumping habits.
Thereafter join your 5 day Masai Mara & Amboseli National Park Wildlife safari guide, to return to Nairobi with lunch enroute. Arrive at your accommodation in Nairobi town or proceed to the Airport for your flight back home.
