Day #1:Kigali – Transfer To Kahuzi Biega National Park(Bukavu)
Meet with your private driver guide upon landing in Kagali, who will brief you about your Double Congo gorilla trekking Safari in Kahuzi Biega National Park & Virunga National Park. Thereafter, hit the wide open road, for about 6-8 hour drive, in the direction of Nyungwe Forest National Park, where you are most likely to visit Butare Museum, & Nyanza King’s Palace, plus lunch enroute upto to Rusizi II border for document registration. After Immigration procedures, you will handed over to a Congo driver who will then transfer you to your Accommodation in Bukavu Town for dinner & Overnight.

Day #2: Eastern Lowland Gorilla Trekking at Kahuzi Biega national Park
Head to the park head quarters very early in the morning to register. Thereafter, you will be briefed about the rules and regulations for trekking gorillas, what to expect and how to behave when in their presence. You will then be assigned 1 out of 4 gorilla habituation groups to trek.
Eastern gorilla trekking may take between 1 to 6 hours, and upon finding them, expect to interact with them for 1 hour, so that you can take photos, and videos, as you watch them go about their daily activities.
Apart from the Eastern Gorillas, you might encounter other mammals, primates, bird species among others.
Return for lunch at the hotel, then later embark on community visit, Kibati waterfalls, Bukavu town, Mbayo tea estate among others
Return for dinner in the hotel, followed by an overnight rest.
Day #3: Transfer To Virunga National Park By Speed boat
After a hearty breakfast, early in the morning, set off for a speedboat ride from Bukavu, reach after 3 hours in Goma. Proceed to Grande Barriere boder crossing, documentation, then check in with the Virunga tourism Office for Mountain gorilla trekking permits, which just adjacent to the Passport control within the same environment.
You will then be transferred to Mikeno Lodge, which is established at the Park headquarters in Rumangabo. Lunch will be served, then followed by an afternoon rest, or you can opt for either to go birding.
Dinner will be served early so that you can rest in preparation for the next day’s adventure
Day 4: Mountain Gorilla Trek In Virunga National Park
Mikeno Lodge will provide a delicious breakfast, after then, you will depart for Bukima Ranger Post for gorilla trekking and meeting up with your Ranger guides, before heading for gorilla trekking. Unlike Uganda & Rwanda, Virunga National Park’s Mountain Gorilla trekking is less difficult, which may just last between 1- 3 hours of trekking each day, and the rest of the day, will be left for other activities like Nature walks, and bird watching

Day 5: Depart For Kigali
After your early morning breakfast, Your will be transferred to the border to connect with the driver guide, with whom you will embark a scenic drive back to Kigali International Airport or your post 5 day double Gorilla trekking safari Congo adventure.
