Detailed Itinerary East Africa Migration Safari
Day 1-3: Getting To Nairobi: Ololo Safari Lodge
While Nairobi is a vibrant, busy, and exciting city, the route to Ololo, a picturesque safari resort on a working farm, quickly leads you into the tree-lined streets of Karen, a wealthy neighborhood in the city. Situated on the banks of the immaculate Mbagathi River, your lodge is adjacent to Nairobi National Park, which is home to Kenya’s magnificent wildlife.
Ololo is the ideal way to get to know Africa before your safari adventure starts. Make sure you have a massage or take a peaceful walk around Ololo’s farm before boarding the plane to your next location, as this is the ideal place to unwind and rest before venturing into the heart of the wild atmosphere.
Day 4 – 6: Explore Masai Mara National Reserve:
Once breakfast is finished, you will be taken to Wilson Airport to catch your flight to the renowned Masai Mara National Reserve. We will ensure that you reach Porini Lion Camp in time for lunch and your first afternoon game drive after you touched down. Enjoy a sundowner drink and a spotlit night drive following a late-afternoon nature walk or game drive, and then head back to Porini Lion Camp for dinner.
The next few days are spent on thrilling game drives across the Mara’s rolling savannahs, either looking for the Wildebeest Migration from around August to November or the abundant resident game throughout the year. After enjoying a delectable picnic lunch in a picturesque location, head back to camp for evenings by the campfire.
Day 7 – 9: Serengeti National Park Safari
To start your exciting Serengeti adventure, you will travel to Kogatende Airstrip today and then proceed to Olakira Migration Camp. As the Great Wildebeest Migration traverses the Serengeti-Mara habitat, Olakira provides cozy under-canvas lodging and shifts around occasionally.
The amazing river crossings, calving, or rutting stages of the annual Great wildebeest migration cycle can be seen according on the season. You may witness a lot of elephants, hippo, zebras, and giraffes, as well as apex predators like lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas, on one of Africa’s most famous landscapes thanks to exceptional wildlife viewing throughout the year.
Day 11 – 12: Discover Ngorongoro crater
En route to Gibb’s Farm, your final lodging destination, your Tanzanian adventure continues onto one of Africa’s most intriguing landmarks: the game-rich Ngorongoro Crater. Situated on the hills of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, this cozy and comfortable working farm is the ideal starting point for your exploration of the Ngorongoro Crater, which is one of the best locations in the world to observe the Big Five.
Due to the abundance of animals and the fact that the crater walls keep them contained inside a landscape of wetlands, springs, and excellent pasture, the Crater is a very popular safari location.
After spending the entire day in the Crater, head back to Gibb’s Farm to relax and observe the birds in their beautiful gardens or use the spa for a relaxing massage, which is sometimes necessary after the rough roads of a game drive.
