Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater – Entamanu Ngorongoro
Your safari guide will pick you up after breakfast for a road transfer by car to Lake Manyara National Park. Enjoy a small picnic lunch after spending a few hours in the park watching the game. From its soda lake in the Rift Valley to its thick forests and precipitous hillside, Lake Manyara National Park provides a wilderness adventure in a variety of settings. Depending on the season, the lake’s pink flamingo-covered shoreline are home to about 400 different species of birds. In addition to the big carnivores, you can view several herds of buffalo, and the Masai giraffes and impalas that roam the forested valley slopes and lakeshores. Go out of the park and head toward Entamanu camp on the Ngorongoro Crater Rim for dinner and overnight stay. Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater
We have to get up rather early today in order to make the journey down the Ngorongoro Crater and see some game for a few hours before the people arrive. The Ngorongoro Crater is known by a number of names, including “Africa’s Eden” and “Africa’s eighth wonder of the world.” However, the crater is a breathtaking sight even without these lavish titles.
It is the largest caldera in the world, formed 2.5 million years ago when an extinct volcano collapsed on itself. Before returning to camp, you’ll have the finest opportunity to see the Big Five and eat a packed picnic lunch.

Days 6-8: Serengeti Western Corridor
Drive back to Manyara today, bid your safari guide farewell, and then catch your aircraft to Grumeti Airstrip. Once at the airport, make your way to the lodge. Enjoy breakfast in camp after spending the final morning in the jungle, then take a leisurely drive to the airfield. After bidding your safari guide farewell, board the scheduled flight to JRO airport. We can add a day room close by or allow you to check in at your leisure, depending on your next flight home.
