Engage in a meet and greet with our safari guide in Kampala, Entebbe, or Kigali at 0700 hours prior to commencing the 4 days gorilla trekking & Mount Sabyinyo tour on route to southwestern Uganda, the natural habitat of the mountain gorillas, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Following breakfast, attend the morning briefing prior to partaking in gorilla trekking, which may extend throughout the day. We traverse the rainforest and bamboo-laden slopes, guided by a guide and gorilla trackers, in pursuit of a mountain gorilla family. Although the trek may be difficult and lengthy, a mere sighting of the majestic silverback will swiftly eclipse any discomforts. Once the gorillas are seen, tourist must allow a distance of 6 meters of them so they can sit and look into their big, round eyes for an hour.
Gorilla trekking is inherently unexpected. It is challenging to predict the number of hours you will hike. The gorilla tracking expedition may last between 2 and 8 hours. Anticipate traversing some distances in hilly, muddy terrain, occasionally under rainfall, prior to encountering any gorillas. Excellent physical fitness is advised.
