Day 1: Nairobi – Mount Kenya

Upon pick up in the morning by An expert driver guide from Aloyo Safaris, you will leave for Mount Kenya National Park. Your lunch will be served early upon  checking into the lodge, then after  head for an evening  nature walk.

Dinner & overnight in the evening at the lodge

Day 2: Mount Kenya National Park- Samburu National Reserve

Wake up early before sunrise for a transfer to Samburu National Reserve with a break at the equator for photos. Thereafter you will arrive at Samburu National Reserve for check in and Lunch. Relax then set off at 1600hrs for evening game Viewing drive, then after you will return at dusk for dinner and a peaceful night sleep.

Day 3: Samburu National Reserve

You will be up early for breakfast, while you enjoy the sweet melodious voices   of the birds in the sky.  Then head for a full day game drive with picnic lunch in the wilderness.

Return at dusk for dinner and an overnight in the Hotel/Lodge or Tented Camp

Day 4: Samburu National Reserve – Olpejeta

After breakfast early morning, head to explore Olpejeta Conservancy with an enroute  game drive as you exit the Park, arriving in time, that’s ideal for lunch.

Ol Pejeta conservancy is placed between Mount Kenya foot hills and the Abedare Mountain Ranges. The sanctuary measures an entire area of 364 square Kilometer and was established in 1988 .  Olpejeta Conservancy has the last remaining has the last 2 white Rhinos for  which it is famed

Besides, Olpejeta Conservancy is also home to the Big 5-Lions, Leopards, Elephants, Rhinos, Buffaloes as well as Chimpanzees (The only place in Kenya, where we can get chimpanzees). Other activities includes; Horse rides, camel rides and night walks, dog tracking  as well as to encounter nocturnal animals.

On the other hand, Ol PeJeta Conservancy  offers  opportunities for visitors to learn more about their local culture and tradition of the Samburu, Turkana, Pokot and Maasai.

Proceed at 1600 hrs for an evening game drive to visit the Rhino Orphanage Center and return in the evening.

Day 5: Sweetwaters Game Reserve/Ol Pejeta Conservancy – Lake Nakuru National Park

You will be up early for a sumptuous breakfast, then after leave for Lake Nakuru National Park. Enroute you will stop over at the Thomson’s falls, Subukia, Great Rift valley View Point, Tea plantation… reaching at an ideal time for lunch at the lodge.

An afternoon game viewing drive will be organized, for you to take part, then after return at dusk for dinner, then after an overnight rest in the Hotel.

Day 6: Lake Nakuru National Park – Masai Mara National Reserve

Following your morning breakfast, depart Lake Nakuru National Park for the Famous Maasai Mara National Reserve.

Kenya’s celebrated but well known Maasai Mara National Reserve,  is filled with numerous wildlife, consisting of the Big five (lion ,elephant ,leopards, buffalos and black Rhinos ). Other common animals includes zebras, Masai giraffes wildebeests ,antelopes ,gazelles, cheetah ,topi ,hippos ,crocodiles ,hyenas etc as well as 500 birds species.

The touristic  Maasai Mara National Reserve attracts more than 5000 tourists annually. The park is usually famous for the world’s renowned wildebeest Migration which happens every year, during the months of July, August, September and October.

Take a siesta after lunch, then later proceed for a game drive and wind the your whole day adventure with a sundowner.

Return to the Lodge For dinner & overnight

Day 7 Full Day Maasai Mara

After breakfast, carry your packed lunch, and leave for the full day game drive around the park and at the Mara river.

Animals you expect to see frequently are the Zebras, Wildebeests, impalas, Grant’s gazelles, Elephants, buffaloes, Warthogs, Topis among other harbivores and the birds.While predators include crocodile(at the Mara River), Cheetahs, Lions, Leopards.

In addition to game drives, chances are high that you might witness the “Great Migration” if you visit the Maasai mara national reserve during the Months between  July and early November.

Day 8: Transfer to Lake Naivasha

Be ready to be picked by the driver guide very early in the morning for a transfer in a 4×4 safari jeep to Lake Nivasha to reach in time for lunch. Thereafter , take a  boat ride to the crescent island for an amazing birding experience till dusk, when you will return to dine and sleep in your hotel.

Lake Naivasha’s fresh water  attracts more than 450 species of birds, that are endemic and recorded.

Part of the island is a home for wildlife, especially in the Kongoni Game sanctuary which hosts lions, leopards, cheetah and some translocate Gravys zebras.

Lunch, dinner and overnight stay at the accommodation.

Day 9: Hells Gate National Park

Following your early breakfast, proceed to Hells Gate National Park, arriving in time for a game viewing drive around the park. To better enjoy game view, one can decide to walk through the park or otherwise ride through, so as to encounter many animals including herds of buffalo, zebra, giraffe, eland, hartebeest and Thompsons Gazelle.

 

Break for a picnic lunch then continue with nature walk through the Hells gate gorge, or you can opt for rock climbing to the peak of Frascher’s tower.

Thereafter, you can decide to take a dip to relax your mind  at the Geothermal Spa in Olkaria.

Return in the evening to the camp for dinner and overnight rest.

Day 10: Naivasha – Amboseli

Following your flight programme, take breakfast at leisure, then embark on your drive back to Nairobi, where you will reach in time for lunch at the Carnivore restaurant. Later on  proceed to Amboseli National Park. Enroute, you will follow the Nairobi Mombasa highway,  through the wide farms as well as the Maasai people herding their cattle, alongside the breathtaking spectacle of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Later in the evening, head for  the evening, where you are  certain of  spotting vast population of larger elephants, but also look out for other game such as Zebras,  warthogs, Gazelles, Lions, Buffaloes and Leopards.

Time for dinner will find you in the Lodge, followed by an overnight rest.

Day 11: Full Day game drive

The full day of exploring Amboseli National Park  will start with a pre breakfast game drive to meet up the cats  from hunting, then after return to the lodge for breakfast.

Apart from the famous Large elephant population for which the  park is known, Amboseli features  several numbers of wildlife and bird species.

Return in the late afternoon for another evening game drive, before having dinner. Take an overnight rest in the Lodge after enjoying incredible moments at the bonfire area of the lodge

NB: One can opt for a full day game drive in the park with an inclusive picnic lunch in the wilderness.

Day 12: Transfer To Tsavo West

Rise up for an early morning game drive from 6:30 to 9:00am, when you will return for breakfast.

After this, you will then make your way to Tsavo West National Park, with an enroute break stop at Mzima Springs whose water comes from an under water tank, but also a habitat where you can spot some hippos along the floor of the Crystal springs.

Time for lunch finds you in the lodge after check in, followed by an evening game drive later in the evening, after the afternoon rest. Animals to view include Black Rhinos, Hartebeests, Zebras, Lions, Leopards, Elephants, Wild dogs among others.

Day 13: Transfer to Nairobi.

Wake up early to start with the morning game drive from 0630hrs to 0900hrs. Return for breakfast and exit Tsavo National Park for Nairobi. You can extend your post 13 days Kenya safari by visiting one of the beaches in Mombasa for leisure or do a Nairobi city tour , to visit the Giraffe center, Sheldrick wildlife trust, Nairobi National Museum among others.
