Itinerary Detailed for 6 days Gorilla trekking & Wildlife Safari Tour
Day 1: Welcome to Uganda
Depending on the time, our driver guide will pick you up from Entebbe international Airport and transfer you to the hotel, where you will spend your night. However, if you reach early, you can go for a city tour to visit sites including the Ghedaffi mosque, the Kabaka’s palace, the Uganda Museum, The Kasubi tombs among others. Following your 6 days Uganda Safari, dinner will be served at the hotel/lodge , then an overnight.
Day 2: Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Kick start your day 2 of the 6 days Gorilla trekking adventure Uganda safari with morning breakfast, and the driver guide will pick you up for a long drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, for an exclusive gorilla trekking experience. Along the way you will have many stopovers at Mpambiire drum makers point where you will get a chance of buying your self souvenirs, the Equator for photography and then connect to to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, arriving in your hotel in the evening for dinner and an overnight.
Day 3: Mountain Gorilla trekking Experience in Bwindi
On this 3rd days, you will wake up early for breakfast, and the driver guide will drive you to the Park headquarters, for briefing about the rules and regulations for trekking gorillas in their natural home. In a group of 8 trekkers and 1or 2 ranger guides, you will proceed to search for the gorillas.
Gorilla trekking takes between 2 to 8 hours depending on various factors including the gorilla family, how far they may have moved, the group’s physical strength among other factors kept constant. Upon finding them, you will be allowed to spend at most 1 hour in their presence, as you watch them play, feed, and interact with human as you also take beautiful photos. From here you will return to the head quarters for your individual certificate, after then back to the lodge for lunch.
Gorilla trekking in is an awe-inspiring and rewarding experience which takes you through the thick impenetrable forest in search of gorillas. The experience hiking through the forest is rewarding even before you spot the gorillas.
However, in case of an extra time in the afternoon, you can opt for batwa community visit to experience their way of living as well as enjoying their cultural performances etc. Return then to the Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Have breakfast and embark on your drive to Queen Elizabeth national park, through the Isasha sector, where you might spot the tree climbing lions, and later on reach the lodge for lunch. After lunch, head for an afternoon or evening game drive, to watch other animals, where you will be able glimpse wildlife like the lions, Elephants, Buffaloes, Kobs, Topi, water bucks and several bird species
Day 5: Game drive and Boat Safari in Queen Elizabeth national park
Wake up early for a cup of coffee, and head out for a 2-3 hours game drive where you will glimpse some early risers along the Kasenyi track like the Elephants, antelopes, solitary buffaloes, lions, warthogs, and many bird species. Return for lunch, and then later on proceed for a boat ride on Kazinga channel to enjoy beautiful sightings such as elephants, buffaloes along the banks, crocodiles, hippos, waterbucks, birds among others. Return to the lodge, freshen up, have dinner and overnight.
Queen Elizabeth national park is home to different flora and fauna. The spectacular scenery of ridges, forest and crater lakes along with the Rwenzori mountains in the back ground make for a great game drive.
Day 6: End of your 6 days Gorilla and Wildlife Safari
On this 6th day, we come to the end of our 6 days Uganda safari , by rising up early for breakfast, and later on leave for chimpanzee tracking at Kalinzu forest, which is just a few meters from the park. After then head for lunch at the igongo cultural center, from where you head back to Kampala, reaching your hotel in the evening for dinner and overnight at the Lodge, or continue to the Airport to catch up with your late night flight back home.
