An exclusive 10 days in Uganda Safari for Gorillas tracking, Chimpanzee tracking and wildlife in Uganda. Arrive in Uganda and spend a night at a hotel in Kampala after an authentic city tour. Transfer by road in a 4×4 safari jeep by our guide to Semuliki National Park the next day for hot springs visit. Transfer from Semuliki to Kibale forest national Park for chimpanzee tracking the following day. Spend  2 nights in Queen Elizabeth as well as in Bwindi impenetrable National Parks for Lion tracking, game drives, boat cruise and Gorilla tracking as well as batwa experience.

How To Spend 10 Days in Uganda

Day 1: Arrival (Kampala)-City tour

You will picked by Aloyo Safaris professional driver guide, who will brief you about your 9 days Uganda Safari, and after take you around Kampala city tour. You start with a walking safari to Nakasereo market, Owino Market. You also reach the popular places in the city like the Kabaka’s palace, then proceed to kabaka’s lake, and Kasubi tombs-where the Buganda kings are buried. To visit the religious sectors,  you have the Bahai temple, Namirembe Cathedral, Rubaga Catholic Cathedral and Namumgongo Matyrs shrine. However you can also visit the one and only Museum in Uganda located along Kiira road,(The Uganda Museum).

Return to your favorite hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 2:Transfer to Semuliki National Park

After breakfast, the driver guide will transfer  you to Semuliki national park with a lunch stopover in Mbarara. You will arrive at Semuliki national park in the late evening to check into your hotel, have your dinner and then go for a night game drive. You will then return to your lodge for an overnight sleep.

Day 3: Scenic Drive and Sempaya Hot Springs

Have your breakfast and later on set off for your morning game drive.  Semuliki National Park, is still one of the most treasured parks, due its existence of wildlife. The park has numerous wildlife like the most popular forest and Savannah elephants, forest buffaloes, water bucks, crocodiles, warthogs, and Uganda kobs. You can also spot leopards, pygmy hippos and bush babies, among others. Not only will you do the game drive but the hot springs. The dual Sempaya hot springs comprising of both the “female and male hot springs of  ‘Nyasimbi’  and Bitende  respectively  stretches 12 meters apart. Both hot springs are considered powerful with their boiling points reaching up to 1000c. You can prove this by dipping an egg into the boiling water and it will get ready within the shortest time possible.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale National Park

On this days, you will be driven to Kibale National park,  reaching in time for lunch at the lodge.Next, set  off your afternoon bigodi swamp walk, where you will be able to spot different bird species and other aquatic animals. Return to your lodge for your dinner and an overnight sleep.

Day 5: Chimp Habituation Experience

You will be transferred to Kanyanchu Visitor’s center for briefing about the rules and regulations of tracking Chimpanzees. With a 1 and ½  liters of water , and packed lunch since the habituation process takes a full day. You will set off as early as 6:30am to look for the chimpanzees. These chimps are always mobile, therefore the search may take a few hours to reach them. Upon finding them, you will stay with them for 4 hours watching them do their every day chores such as feeding their young ones, copulating, building nests on tree branches among others. You will return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight.

Day 6: Transfer  to Bwindi national park

On day 6 of the 10 days Uganda Safari, you will head to Bwindi impenetrable national park in the southwestern Uganda, after breakfast. And then head to  Bwindi and arriving late in the evening, where you will check into your favorite lodge for dinner and an overnight.

Day 7: Mountain Gorilla trekking (Ruhijah  sector) and Batwa Experience

Transfer to the park headquarters before 8:00am for briefing. The guides/ranger will take you through the do’s and don’t for  gorilla trekking.  In a group of 8 trekkers along with a ranger guide, you will be lead through the trails to look for the endangered mountain gorillas in the forest.

It is not easy to predict the amount of time spent while for gorilla trekking, because it is based on the group, the location of these gorillas and the distance at which they might have moved. Therefore, you are advised to carry enough water and snacks.

When you Meet them, you will be granted an hour to stay in the presence of the gorillas.

Whilst sighting the gorillas, the ranger guides will tell you what to do and how to behave while near the gorillas especially standing 7 meters away from them. After the trek, head back to headquarters for a gorilla trekking certificate and lunch for  lodge for lunch and in the afternoon you could choose to unwind at the lodge or visit the Batwa community and have a great time watching them dance and sing through cultural performances.

Day 8 From Bwindi National Park to Queen Elizabeth national Park

Early in the morning instantly after breakfast,  you will  drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park through the Isasha route. The drive will last for 2-3 hours to Isasha region famed for its tree climbing lions, and you could be able to spot some of these famous tree climbing lions, as well as other game like antelopes, buffalos among others. Arrive and check in your hotel, have lunch in your hotel, and later on proceed for Lion tracking experience.

Return to the Lodge  to dinner and retire, so as  to get enough bed rest after the hectic day activity.

Day 9: Game Drive and Boat Cruise

Go for an early morning game drive, after your morning breakfast, so that you can catch up with the morning risers and possibly encounter with the cats as they retire from their hunt. You will spot a number of wild game including Elephants, Lions, buffaloes antelopes, impalas, warthogs hyenas, waterbucks, Leopards, hyenas, mongoose.

Return to your lodge to relax, have lunch and set off for your afternoon 2-3 hours boat cruise on Kazinga channel. You will come close to wild game including crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes among other aquatic life and many bird species. Return to the lodge, have dinner and an overnight

Day 10: Transfer Back To Kampala

On this day, we come to the end of our 9 days Uganda safari.  The driver guide will transfer you back to Kampala, with an enroute lunch at Igongo cultural center. You will arrive in your Kampala lodge in the afternoon, or at Entebbe international Airport to catch up with your flight.
