The tour to Kibale National Park is extensive, although it offers stunning vistas and idyllic landscapes as a reward. Anticipate a genuine delight if you appreciate nature, from the remarkable volcanoes and picturesque highlands of Rwanda to the dense forests of Uganda.

Monitoring chimpanzees in Kibale National Park often requires 3 to 5 hours.

Their vocal characteristics render them easily identifiable. Their social groups exhibit greater drama than those of gorillas. Anticipate an exhilarating hour of activity with them. Capture as many photographs as desired, then proceed back to the lodge for lunch. The driver will commence the 2 hour trek to Queen Elizabeth National Park later in the afternoon.

Day 3: Game Drive and Boat Cruise at the Kazinga Channel

You must rise exceedingly early to partake in breakfast. Alternatively, take coffee with you on your early morning game drive. The early morning wildlife drive enables tourists to observe nocturnal animals returning to their dens after nocturnal hunting. It is also designed to capture early risers prior to their hunting activities. Be vigilant for leopards and hippos that have returned from nocturnal grazing outside the lake. The morning is the optimal time to observe birds and animals resuming grazing after evading predators. The game drive will provide an opportunity to observe buffaloes, lions, hartebeests, and various antelopes. Subsequently, you will return to the resort for lunch and relaxation.

You will be transferred to the Kazinga Channel for a boat cruise at 2 p.m. A boat safari is among the most favored activities at Queen Elizabeth National Park. The Kazinga Channel is the primary location where most animals and birds gather to bathe or drink. The Kazinga Channel links Lake Edward to Lake Gorge and is considered one of Africa’s premier birdwatching sites. It is among the premier locations in Africa for wildlife observation, owing to the abundant population of monkeys and other fauna along the channel. Elephants, buffaloes, crocodiles, hippos, antelopes, and many predators are anticipated to be observed.

Certain gorilla families in Rwanda inhabit and traverse the depths of the forest, requiring extended search duration. Prior to entering the forest, engage a porter if you possess additional bags and equipment.
