Gorilla trekking & Golden monkey tracking in Volcanoes National Park necessitates a gorilla trekking permit at a cost of $1500 per person per day for 1 Rwanda gorilla family, and a golden monkey tracking permit at $100, from Rwanda Development Board. Whereas game viewing drives in Maasai Mara requires an entry fee of $80 per person (for accommodations outside the park) and $70 per person (for those in the park). Both parks are only open from 6:00am to 6:00pm, outside which, no visitor is allowed access to the park.

Day by Day 7 Days Rwanda Gorilla Trekking & Masai Mara Safari
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Hotel in Kigali
On this day 1 of your 7 days Rwanda Gorilla trek & Masai mara safari, you will be met by Aloyo Safaris driver guide, who will brief you about your mountain gorilla trek, golden monkeys in Volcanoes National Park, and wildlife safari in Masai mara. Depending on your pick up point, you will head for a brief city tour to visit the Genocide memorial sites, the major markets, museums and craft shops in Kigali, after when, you will be driven to Volcanoes National Park in Northwestern Rwanda.
Dinner and overnight stay at your preferred hotel.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking & Iby’Iwachu Cultural Tour
Very early in the morning you have breakfast, after then you will be transferred to the briefing point at the park headquarters in Volcanoes National Park. The Park guide will brief you about the regulations of trekking gorillas, while looking for them and when you are with them. With him, you will then procced in a group of eight to look for gorillas for about 2-6 hours, depending on the family and how far they may have moved. When you meet them, you will spend an hour in their presence, you will return to the hotel for lunch.
Later in the afternoon, you can visit the gorilla guardians in the Iby”iwachu Cultural village to experience their way of life, as you enjoy the inspiring dance performances of the true Rwandan culture, take part in the preparation of the local foods(if time allows) among other activities.
Dinner and overnight at the Lodge
Day 3: Golden Monkey tracking.
You will wake up early for breakfast and leave for Golden Mountain tracking in Volcanoes National Park, where you will first be briefed, After then you will be led to the light forest of Volcanoes National Park to look for the playful and mobile Golden Monkeys, and upon finding them, you will spend 1 hour in their presence.
Return for lunch at the lodge, and there after head to explore the Twin lakes of Ruhondo and Burera,
Get back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 4: Flight to Nairobi-Jommo kenyatta International Airport
In the morning, you will be transferred to Kigali International Airport, where you will take the immediate flight to Jommo Kenyatta international Airport, where you will meet our company representative, who will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to your hotel of preference.
Day 5: Journey to Masai Mara from Nairobi
On this 5th day of the 7 days Fly in Gorilla trekking & Masai Mara Safari, you will be transferred from Nairobi to Masai Mara National reserve where you will enjoy magnificent views of wildlife animals including Zebras, giraffes, herds of wildebeests, gazelles, antelopes among others. You will also enjoy the cheerful sights of the big 5 including Lions, Elephants, Buffaloes, Leopards and Rhinos.
You will reach in time for lunch at your lodge, and after head for the evening game drive to catch up with the wild game.
Day 6: Full day Masai Mara national Park
Today you will spend the whole day game driving through the Masai Mara Plains, Kenya’s most famous National reserve, which gives you the opportunity to visit spot animals including lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant, as well as visiting the Masai Community.
Day 7: Depart For Nairobi
We come to the end of your 7 days Rwanda gorilla & Masai Mara Safari, which starts with morning breakfast, then an en-route game drive as you proceed to Nairobi. You will be dropped at the Airport, where you can catch up with your flight back home.
