Leave Nairobi behind very early in the Morning, for an exhilarating scenic road drive to Chogoria town, through which you will enjoy beautiful sights of the snow capped peak. Upon arrival, you will be briefed by the professional & experienced mountaineering guide, who will brief you about the History, facts, activities, attractions as well as the day activity, that you are about to take on.
Thereafter, set off with an appropriate gear, at a pace that’s comfortable enough to accomplish 4 hors to Lake Elis, and another 4 back to the foothills of Mount Kenya National park. The trek to Lake Ellis is accompanied by beautiful encounters of various bird species, because there are more than 300 bird species recorded
You will also visit the old Mau Mau caves, as well as learn the beautiful history of their existence and how the freedom fighters used them. You will also walk around them taking pictures, and hike to the magnificent beautiful lake Ellis, a popular attraction on Mt Kenya with crystal clear blue water. Navigating around Lake Ellis gives beautiful views of Mugi, Ithanguni and the Giants Billiards Table, a 700 meter climb composed of beautiful flora and fauna scenery. From here, you will trek down back to the base of Mount Kenya to return back to Nairobi.
