12 Days Western Lowland Gorilla & Bai Safari combines both Western lowland gorilla trekking in Odzala-Kokoua National Park with dense rain forest collection of rivers, bais, swamps. This 12 day Western Lowland gorilla & Bai safari takes allows you to visit Ngaga camp, & Lango camp in the North-western area of the republic of Congo , plus Mboko camp – a private concession nearby the National Park. Detailed Itinerary For A 12 Day Western Lowland Gorilla trekking & Bai Safari

Day 1: Arrive In Brazzaville

When you get into Maya Maya International Airport in Brazzaville, the driver guide will brief you about the 12 day western gorilla & bais Safari, then later transfer you to your hotel for a sleep over.

Day 2: Brazzaville -Transfer to Ngaga Camp

Following your morning breakfast, the driver pick you up for a transfer to the airport for your arranged light aircraft flight to Ngaga Camp to start your lowland gorilla safari. You will be allocated a gorilla group before proceeding on a forest walk alongside your guide with whom you will explore several indigenous species of flora and fauna.  There after, return to the camp, where you might encounter the gorilla research team with whom you will interact about their daily research schedule, which will in turn build your confidence of gorilla trekking adventure.

Overnight an Ngaga Camp

Day 3: Western Lowland Gorilla Trekking and Forest Walk

Rise up early for your hearty breakfast, so as to leave for your first Western lowland gorilla trekking adventure at 0600hrs. You will be allocated a guide who will accompany you to find your assigned gorilla group. Western lowland gorilla trekking may take at least 2hrs to find the gorillas, basing on their location.

Day 4: Second Western Lowland Gorilla Trekking and Night Walk

Breakfast will be served early, so that you can catch up with your guide for your second gorilla trekking adventure. Return for lunch in the camp, then followed by an afternoon forest walk, where you expect to spot beautiful species of birds & primates.

Day 5: Gorilla Trek and Forest Walk

In the morning, you will enjoy your delectable breakfast, and head for your  3rd Western Lowland gorilla trekking adventure along with your guide. You will enjoy your few hours with the gorillas as you bid them farewell.

Day 6: Ngaga Camp – Village Visit – Lango Camp

Have breakfast at your own convenient morning hours, before you check out for  Mbomo village  visit to interact and experience they of life each day, after then you will proceed for lunch at Mboko Camp, followed by a kayak trip on River Lekoli, enroute, as you traverse to Lango Camp. The Lango Camp is a spot that draws large flocks of African green pigeon and African grey parrots, then at night, expect to see forest elephants.

Day 7 – 8: Lango Bai Exploration

Enjoy two days of wildlife encounters around the Lango Camp environment, by visiting the visiting the Baise on Foot. Animals you expect to spot forest camps. You will have lunch, then proceed to join the research team for an evening address of what transpired during the day.

Day 9: Transfer From Lango Camp – To Mboko Camp

After breakfast, you will head for an enroute game drive, then after cross over a walking wooden path through the swamp to Mboko camp, where you will be accommodated for 2 nights in Odzala-Kokoua National Park. Head for a boat cruise on the Lekoli River, then embark on your last adventure in the Likeni River.

Day 10 – 11: Mboko Camp

The surrounding here is endowed by wildlife such as: savanna forest buffalo, forest elephant and spotted hyena are often spotted. You can also visit some of the neighboring villages, just close to the park’s foothills so as to interact with the local people.

Day 12: Mboko Camp – Brazzaville

You will be treated to a delectable breakfast at the cam, very early in the morning, before you checkout, then after join the driver for a transfer to Brazaville , where you will connect to the airport for your international flight
