Best Time to visit Rwenzori Mountains(Month By Month)

The best time to visit Rwenzori Mountains National Park is from June to August, and December to February, the perfect dry season to hike(climb) the Rwenzori Mountains to Margherita peak, mount Speke or mount Baker however, the park is open and accessible to be visited anytime, all year round.

This is the dry season, when it is greatly unlikely that  you’ll see any rain, though sometimes little downpour may occur.

This season coincides with most European countries’ summer holidays, yet other adventure holidays like Gorilla trekking wildlife viewing, chimpanzee tracking is at its best in the park in Africa, making it the best time to visit.

Low Season: Rainy Months (March-May & September-November)

March, April, May, September, October and November are the rainy months, also known as the low season, and the number  of Rwenzori mountains adventure seekers, are less abundant. The low season experiences heavy rains, trail are muddy, as well as slippery rocks. Rwenzori mountains National Park, at this  time feels empty and calm, making a great time for solitude mountaineers who don’t love hiking with many crowds.

Of course, Rwenzori Mountains National Park, offers more than just Mountain climbing to its peaks of Mount Baker, Mount Speke, Margherita, Weismann peak.
