2 Days/1 Night Rwenzori Hike Via The Central Circuit Trail
2 days/1night is a short Rwenzori trekking that starts from Nyakalengija through the Bakonzo Farmlands to Nyabitaba hut(2651m)
This short 2 days Rwenzori Mountain hike is meant for less experienced mountaineers, and those who do not have enough time to climb the Rwenzori Mountains but would love to trek around Rwenzori Mountains National Park.

Day 1: Nyakalengijja to Nyabitaba hut
Following your morning breakfast, you head to Rwenzori Mountaineering Services headquarters for briefing about your 2 days/1 night naybitaba- Mohoma trail loop hike. Thereafter, your hike starts from Nyakalengija, following the trail through the Bakonzo Farmlands to Rwenzori Mountains National Park gate, where you will be registered by Uganda Wildlife Authority officials, to allow you access the park
You will then commence your Rwenzori central circuit trail route trek through the verdant tropical forest with high elephant grass and dense bushes. This forest is a home to a large population of animals pecies like forest elephant, chimpanzee, hyrax, black-and-white colobus, L’Hoest’s monkeys,
duiker, and three horned chameleon among others. While you might also encounter birds such as the Handsome Francolin, Rwenzori Turaco, Long-eared Owl, Barred, Long-tailed Cuckoo, Cinnamon-chested Bee-eater, Strange Weaver,
Archers’Robin-chat, Rwenzori Batis among not forgetting the number of tree and plant species.
This trek will take about 7.5km, then you will reach the first cabin, nayabitabe for dinner & and Overnight
overnight at Nyabitaba hut.
Day 2: Nyabitaba –Nyakalengija.
In the morning slope down to Nyakalengija.
End of service.
